Barkur Annual General Body Meeting of Old Students Association – NHS & NPUC
ಮಂಗಳವಾರ, 23 ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 2025 ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಭಾಂಗಣ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್ & ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು, ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು, ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘದ (ನೋಂದಣಿ) 2024–25ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಮಹಾಸಭೆಯ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಆತಿಥೇಯರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಮಂಗಳವಾರ, 23 ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 2025 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10:15 ಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂಕಡಿ ಕರುಣಾಕರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು, ಸುಗಮ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಸಭೆಯು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ಮಳೆಯ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಲಸದ ದಿನವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಂಘದ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಹರೀಂದ್ರನಾಥ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು…
ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ನಮನಗಳು:
ಇಬ್ಬರು ದಿವಂಗತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಸಭೆಯು ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥದ ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೌನ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು.
26 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಆ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಬಿ. ಸೀತಾರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ. ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಹುದ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ, ಅವರು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಘದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಅಪಾರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆಯು NHS ಮತ್ತು NPUC ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಕೆತ್ತಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಏಳು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ಮತ್ತು ಗಣಿತಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಂತಕಥೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ದಿವಂಗತ ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಐತಾಳ್. ತಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯಿಂದ ಇಡೀ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಸಭೆಯ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿ, ಈ ಉದಾತ್ತ ಆತ್ಮಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸ್ವರ್ಗೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗಾಗಿ (ಸದ್ಗತಿ) ಗೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು, ನಂತರ ಗೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ನಿಮಿಷ ಮೌನ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವರದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು:
ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮತ್ತು ತೆಂಕನಿಡಿಯೂರು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಅವರು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಭಾಷಣವು 2024–25ರ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘವು ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ವಿವಿಧ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು, ಅವುಗಳೆಂದರೆ:
- ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನದಂದು ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವುದು.
- ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಐಪಿಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸೆಟ್ ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರ.
- ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ, ಕ್ರೀಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿಸುವುದು.
- ಪಿಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಇಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೀಟ್ ತರಬೇತಿ ತರಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ನೆರವು ನೀಡುವುದು.
- ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬಸ್ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುವುದು.
- ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬಡ, ಅರ್ಹ ಮತ್ತು ಭರವಸೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ ನೀಡುವುದು.
ಈ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಸಂಘದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದವು.
ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕ ಹಣಕಾಸು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ:
ಆದಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೆಚ್ಚ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ಯಾಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಶೀಟ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಖಾತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ OSA ಯ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್ಚಿಬಾಲ್ಡ್ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಘದ ಹಣಕಾಸು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆ, ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆಯನ್ನು ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು:
ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು NHS ಮತ್ತು NPUC ಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಮುಂಬರುವ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಮಹಾಸಭೆಯು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು. ವಿವಿಧ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ಲಾಟಿನಂ ಜುಬಿಲಿ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜಾರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಒಎಸ್ಎಯ ನಿಕಟಪೂರ್ವ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹೇಶ್ ಉಡುಪ, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರತ್ನಾಕರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ನೀತಿ ವರದಿಗಾರ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ಕಾಮತ್, ಅನುಭವಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯರಾಮ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮುಂತಾದವರು ಈ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣ:
ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಕರುಣಾಕರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಘದ ಮಡಿಲಿಗೆ ತರಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. “ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ,” ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು, “ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು.”
ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳ ಮಾತು:
ಸಭೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿತೈಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಅವಿರತ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲು, ಬಿಇಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಘ (ಒಎಸ್ಎ) ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂದಿನ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಿಂದ ನಡೆಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಧಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜಾನೆಟ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ ಅವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಳಜಿಗಾಗಿ ಸದನವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿತು…
ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಏಕತೆ, ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ನವೀಕೃತ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಮಹಾಸಭೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.

Tuesday, 23rd September 2025College Auditorium The National High School & National PU College, Barkur was the proud host of the Annual General Body Meeting of the Old Students’ Association (Regd.) for the year 2024–25, held in the spacious College Auditorium on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, at 10:15 a.m.
The session was gracefully presided over by Mr. Sankadi Karunakar Shetty, President of the Association. Mrs. Jyothi Shetty, Treasurer, admirably compeered the programme, ensuring smooth and engaging proceedings. The meeting opened with a soulful prayer led by Ms Sakshita and Samruddi, followed by a warm and homely welcome address by Mr. Harindranath Shetty, Vice President of the Association, for attending the Meeting in fairly good number, in spite of rain and being a working day…
Heartfelt Tributes:
The gathering paused for a moving moment of remembrance, as heartfelt tributes were offered to two stalwart educators:
Late B. Seetharama Shetty, the Founder Principal who served in that distinguished role for 26 long years. Beyond his principal-ship, he contributed immensely as Secretary and later Vice President of the Barkur Educational Society, and as a former President of the Old Students’ Association. His leadership, vision, and service remain deeply etched in the history of NHS & NPUC.
Late Venkataramana Aithal, Principal for seven memorable years and a legendary Lecturer in Mathematics. He was remembered fondly for shaping a whole generation of students with his knowledge and dedication.
Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, Secretary of BES, led the gathering in offering tributes and prayers for the eternal rest (sadgathi) of these noble souls and all other alumni who have gone to their heavenly abode, followed by a solemn one-minute silence, as a mark of respect and gratitude’s.
Annual Report & Achievements:
Mr. Balakrishna Hegde, Secretary of the Association and retired Principal of Tenkanidiyur Government First Grade College, presented the Annual Report. His address highlighted a variety of impactful initiatives taken up by the Association during 2024–25, including:
• Recognition and felicitation of teachers on Teachers’ Day with memento’s for ensuring consistent academic excellence.
• One set of Uniforms to all the I PU Students.
• Sponsoring cultural, sports and athletic events.
• Extending financial support for conducting CET and NEET coaching classes for PU students.
• Contributing towards college bus transportation facilities.
• Awarding scholarships to economically poor, deserving and promising students.
These initiatives showcased the Association’s commitment to the holistic growth of the institution and its students.
Transparent Financial Management:
The Annual Accounts, including Income & Expenditure Statement and the Balance Sheet, were presented by Mr. Archibald Furtado, Joint Secretary of OSA and Administrative Coordinator of National Educational Institutions, Barkur. The members lauded the transparency, accountability, and clarity with which the Association’s finances were managed.
Discussions & Future Plans:
The AGM also witnessed meaningful discussions on educational initiatives, infrastructural improvements, and upcoming projects aimed at further enhancing the legacy of NHS & NPUC. Various Members shared valuable insights, reaffirming their shared commitment to the growth and welfare of the institution.
Notably Mr. Rajarama Shetty, Chairman of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Mr. Mahesh Udupa, immediate past President of OSA, Mr. Ratnakar Shetty, business-man, Hubli, Mr. Ramachandra Kamath, Correspondent of NITI, Mr. Jayaram Shetty veteran retired Banker etc shared insightful thoughts and suggestion for the more active role for past students in the progress of National Group of Educational Institutions in this historical Barkur.
Presidential Address:
In his thought-provoking address, Mr. Karunakar Shetty emphasized the collective responsibility of alumni in nurturing and strengthening the alma mater. He urged members to actively participate in ongoing and future projects, while also motivating them to bring more past students into the Association’s fold. “Together,” he said, “we can ensure the continued progress and glory of our beloved institutions.”
Vote of Thanks:
As the meeting drew to a close, Mrs. Jyothy Shetty proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks. She expressed gratitude to all office-bearers, members, and well-wishers for their unstinted dedication and valuable contributions. Earlier, Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, Secretary BES, recalled with gratitude’s various welfare activities conducted by Old Students Association (OSA) both by present and past leadership. The AGM concluded on a note of unity, pride, and renewed resolve—reflecting the enduring bond between the Old Students’ Association and the alma mater that shaped their lives.
