ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಪತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರೋದ್ಯೋಗಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಸತ್ಯರಾಜ್ ನಡೆಸಿದ ತರಬೇತಿಯು ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ವಿನ್ಸೆಂಟ್ ಆಳ್ವಾ ಅವರು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸತ್ಯರಾಜ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಅನುಭವದ ಮೂಲಕ, ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಪಾಸ್ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ನಂದಿಸಲು ಅಥವಾ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶಾಖ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ವಾಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಗೋಣಿಚೀಲಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಳಸುವುದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕಲಿತರು. ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತುರ್ತು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಪಿಆರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪಡೆದರು.

ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶುಭಲತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿನಂದನ್ ಭಟ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಖಾತ್ರಿಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ, ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ತನ್ನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತುರ್ತು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಲು ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ, ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸನ್ನದ್ಧತೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Milagres College Conducts Comprehensive Fire Safety, Disaster Management, and Medical Emergency Training for NSS Volunteers

Milagres College in Kallianpur recently organized a comprehensive Social Awareness Campaign on Fire Safety, Health Safety, and Disaster Management Awareness training for its NSS volunteers. The training, conducted by Sathyaraj, a professional Freelancer Fire & Safety Officer from Mangalore, equipped the volunteers with essential knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to handle emergency situations effectively.

Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of the college, introduced the resource person, Sathyaraj, and stressed the importance of this training program, highlighting the college’s commitment to student safety and well-being. Through hands-on experience, the volunteers learned how to operate fire extinguishers using the PASS method and utilize gunny bags to smother fires or protect individuals from heat and flames. They also received practical training in first aid and CPR during medical emergencies.

Faculty members, including Mrs. Shubhalatha, NSS officer, and Mr. Ravinandan Bhat, PRO, attended the event, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for the students. By providing NSS volunteers with critical skills and knowledge, Milagres College is empowering its students to respond effectively in emergency situations, promoting a culture of safety and preparedness within the community.
