ಮಂಗಳೂರು;ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗೊನ್ಜಾಗ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಬೀದಿನಾಟಕ

ಮಂಗಳೂರು; ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನೈರ್ಮಲ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಜಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯ 11 ಮತ್ತು 12ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ‘ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಬಸ್ಸು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ, ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಜೀವನ’ ಎಂಬ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯ ಬೀದಿ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಬಿಜೈಯ ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್.ಟಿ.ಸಿ ಬಸ್ ತಂಗುದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜುಲೈ 12ರಂದು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಬೀದಿನಾಟಕದ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉಗುಳುವುದು, ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಾಡುವುದು ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಬೀದಿ ನಾಟಕ ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಡೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಕಸದ ತೊಟ್ಟಿ ಬಳಸುವುದು, ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಚವಾಗಿಡುವುದು .ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ತರುವ ಆಶಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಬಸ್ಸಿನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೀದಿ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಭಿತ್ತಿಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್.ಟಿ.ಸಿ ಡಿಪೋ ಹಿರಿಯ ವಿಭಾಗೀಯ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಿಪೋ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವರಾಮ ನಾಯಕ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ರೆ.ಫಾ.ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ’ ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ.ಅವರು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ನಾಗರಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪ ಕರ್ಕಡ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶಿಲ್ಪಾ ಬಲ್ಲಾಳ್, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಾವಣ್ಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವಿಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಇವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿರು.

Mangaluru; Swachhata in Spotlight Gonzagaites Inspire Civic Sense Through Street Play

Mangaluru; To promote public hygiene and raise awareness about maintaining cleanliness at public places, notably areas frequented by commuters, the Eco Club students of Classes XI and XII from St Aloysius Gonzaga School, Mangaluru, performed a powerful street play titled “Swachh Bus Stand, Swasth Jeevan” at the KSRTC Bus Stand, Bejai, on 12 July 2025.
The play addressed critical issues such as littering, plastic waste, spitting in public and the general neglect of shared spaces. With engaging performances and impactful dialogues, the students highlighted how small responsible actions, like using dustbins, avoiding plastic and keeping surroundings clean can collectively bring about significant change.
The performance drew the attention of commuters, bus staff and passersby. Students also held placards with slogans promoting cleanliness. The initiative was well supported by Senior Divisional Controller Mr. Rajesh Shetty and Depot Manager Mr. Shivaram Naik, who commended the students and encouraged continued awareness campaigns.
Fr. Rohan D’Almeida SJ, Principal of the school, addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of civic responsibility in maintaining public hygiene. He also appreciated the efforts of KSRTC support staff and presented them with tokens of gratitude.
The event was coordinated by Ms Deepa Karkada, Ms Shilpa Ballal, Ms Lavanya Shetty, and Ms Vijayalaxmi. The street play left a strong impression on the audience, reinforcing the message that cleanliness is a shared responsibility.
