ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ; ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಯೋಜನೆ (ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್) ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 29, 2025 ರಂದು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಆಡಿಯೋ ವಿಶುವಲ್ ಹಾಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ಕೆಎಂಸಿಯ ಐಎಚ್‌ಬಿಟಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಟ್ ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ ಡಾ. ದೀಪಿಕಾ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು, ದಾನಿಗಳ ಅರ್ಹತಾ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ರಕ್ತ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಅಭಯಹಸ್ತ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಸತೀಶ್ ಸಾಲಿಯನ್ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ಸಂಘಟಕರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ. ಜಯರಾಮ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಗಾರ್ ಅವರು ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಲು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದರು. ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸೋಫಿಯಾ ಡಯಾಸ್ ಅವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಈ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಉಪಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಐಕ್ಯೂಎಸಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶೈಲೆಟ್ ಮಥಿಯಾಸ್, ಯೂತ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕ್ಲಾರಾ ಮೆನೆಜಸ್, ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶುಭಲತಾ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಗಣ್ಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಥಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಮೃತಾ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಥನೀಶಾ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಥಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಆಸ್ಥಿಕ್ ಅವರು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮತೋಲನದಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರವು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿತು, ಒಟ್ಟು 49 ಯೂನಿಟ್ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಎನ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ತಂಡವು ಅವರ ನಿಖರವಾದ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಗತಗೊಳಿಸುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ, ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಬದ್ಧತೆಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
Milagres College Kalyanpur – Successful blood donation camp by Rashtriya Seva Yojana unit
Milagres College Kallinpur, National Service Scheme (NSS) successfully organized a blood donation camp on April 29, 2025. The event commenced with an inaugural program held at the Audio Visual Hall, where esteemed guests and faculty members gathered to emphasize the importance of blood donation.
Dr. Deepika, Associate Professor, Department of IHBT, KMC Manipal, delivered the inaugural address, enlightening the audience about the eligibility criteria for donors, health benefits, and common blood-related issues. Mr. Sathish Salian, President of Abhayahasta Charitable Trust, Udupi, graced the occasion as the chief guest, acknowledging the organizers’ efforts and the significance of the blood donation camp.
Dr. Jayaram Shettigar, Staff Secretary and Head of the Department of History, highlighted the importance of blood donation, citing inspiring examples to motivate the students. Mrs. Sophia Dias, Vice Principal, delivered a presidential remark, encouraging students to participate in this life-saving initiative.
The program was attended by notable faculty members, including Mrs. Shylet Mathias, IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Clara Menezes, Convenor of Youth Red Cross, Mr. Ganesh Nayak, and Mrs. Shubalatha, NSS Programme Officers, along with other teaching and administrative staff.
First-year B.Com students actively participated in the program, with Ms. Amrutha, delivering a warm welcome address and Ms. Thanisha, proposing a vote of thanks. Mr. Asthik, also a first-year B.Com student, anchored the program with confidence and poise.
The blood donation camp was a resounding success, with a total of 49 units of blood collected. The NSS team deserves commendation for their meticulous planning and execution, making this event a testament to the college’s commitment to social responsibility and community service.
