ಕುಂದಾಪುರ; ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 4, 2026ರಂದು ಸಂತ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಅಸ್ಸಿಸಿ ಚರ್ಚ್, ತಲ್ಲೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಅಸ್ಸಿಸಿಯವರ ಮರಣದ 800ನೇ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆಯ ಜುಬಿಲಿ ವರ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಶದ್ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
BEC ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವಂ।ಡಾ. ಸುನಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಮೇರೀಸ್ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಂ। ಫಾ. ರೋಲ್ವಿನ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂತ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಅಸ್ಸಿಸಿ ಚರ್ಚ್, ತಲ್ಲೂರಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂ। ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಸಹ ಬಲಿದಾನವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರವಚನದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಾ. ಸುನಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು, ನಾವು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಪಡೆದ ದಿನದಿಂದಲೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ದೇಹದ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ದೇಹದ ವಿವಿಧ ಅಂಗಗಳಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆ. ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಉಡುಗೊರೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ದುರುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಚರ್ಚಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತ ಸೇವಕರಾಗಿ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಇತರರ ಒಳಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿವಿಧ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಯುವಕರು ವಿವಿಧ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಪಾಲನಾ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸದಸ್ಯರು, ಗುರಿಕಾರರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ. ಸುನಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಹಾಗೂ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ರೋಲ್ವಿನ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು.
ಫಾ. ರೋಲ್ವಿನ್ ಅವರು ಧರ್ಮಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸದಸ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿ, ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿಸಿದರು. ಫಾ. ಸುನಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಯುವಜನರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರಂತರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.
ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಘ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದ ಫಾ. ಸುನಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಮುದಾಯ ಜೀವನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲು ಅವರು ಒಂದು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ, ಚರ್ಚಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕತೆ, ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರತ್ವವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಪಾಲನಾ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸದಸ್ಯರು ವಂ।ಫಾ. ಎಡ್ವಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಧರ್ಮಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ದಣಿವರಿಯದ ಸೇವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು.
ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಕ್ಯಾಲ್ವಿನ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸಾ ಅವರು ಸಭಿಕರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಪೆರೇರಾ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಭೋಜನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವು ಏಕತೆ, ಸಹೋದರತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಯ ಮನೋಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು.
Tallur ; Parish Day and Celebrating the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi
Tallur ;On October 4, 2026, the Jubilee Year commemorating the Eighth Centenary of the Death of St. Francis of Assisi and Parish Day were celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Tallur, with a Holy Mass at 4:00 p.m.
Rev. Dr. Sunil D’Souza, Director of BEC, Karnataka Region, was the main celebrant. He was assisted by Rev. Fr. Rolwin Fernandes, Principal of St. Mary’s PU College, Kundapura, and Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza, Parish Priest of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Tallur.
In his homily, Fr. Sunil D’Souza said that on the day of our Baptism, we became members of the Body of Christ. Through Baptism, we become different parts of the Body of Jesus Christ. He reminded the faithful that freedom is one of the greatest gifts given to us by God and that we should never misuse it. He encouraged everyone to remain faithful workers in the Church and to continue doing good for others.
Following the Holy Mass, a cultural programme was held in the Church Hall. Various Church associations, children and youth presented a variety of cultural programmes, showcasing their talents and active participation in the life of the parish.
During the programme, Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza felicitated the Parish Pastoral Council office-bearers and members, Gurkars, and leaders of various Church associations in recognition of their selfless service to the Church.
Rev. Dr. Sunil D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Rolwin Fernandes, the chief guests of the programme, were also felicitated by the Parish Priest.
Fr. Rolwin appreciated the various talents of the parishioners and praised their active participation in the parish activities. Fr. Sunil D’Souza appreciated the activities carried out by the Parish Priest and honoured him for his tireless service, especially his dedicated efforts for the welfare and development of children and youth.
Appreciating the cultural programme presented by the parishioners, Fr. Sunil D’Souza said that he could clearly see a strong sense of community life in the parish. To highlight the importance of community life, he narrated a meaningful story and encouraged everyone to continue strengthening unity, cooperation and fellowship in the parish.
The Parish Pastoral Council office-bearers also felicitated Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza in appreciation of his tireless service and dedicated ministry to the parish community.
Mr. Calvin Mendonca, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, welcomed the gathering. Mr. Praveen Pereira compered the programme.
The celebration concluded with a community dinner, which was prepared and shared by the parishioners in a spirit of love, unity and fellowship.
