Mangaluru; Little Gonzagaites Take the Road to Safety

Mangaluru; “Red means STOP, Yellow means BE ALERT, and Green means GO—safely!” With this inspiring message, Principal Rev. Fr Rohan D Almeida SJ set the tone for a meaningful and exciting Bagless Day-Little Gonzagaites Fun Fiesta under the theme “The Power of three lights”.
On 29th October 2026, the Gonzaga Hall came alive as a bustling roadway, with children dressed in charming vehicle cutouts representing cars, buses, autos, bicycles, and more. Their colourful costumes and enthusiastic participation brought the world of transport to life, creating a delightful parade of young drivers, riders, and budding road-safety champions.
In his address, Principal Rev. Fr Rohan D Almeida SJ explained how traffic lights serve as silent guardians on the road, guiding people to move carefully and reach their destinations safely. He emphasised the importance of understanding and obeying traffic signals, encouraging the children to develop safe habits from an early age.
The activity continued with engaging games, lively Zumba sessions, melodious songs, and enjoyable learning experiences. The little Gonzagaites enthusiastically practised stopping at red, staying alert at yellow, and moving safely on green. Through these fun-filled, hands-on experiences, they learnt how traffic signals maintain order and protect both motorists and pedestrians.
The day concluded with a valuable lesson: safe roads begin with awareness, patience, and responsible choices. At St Aloysius Gonzaga School, Little Gonzagaites Fun Fiesta-Bagless Day for activity based learning truly took the right turn—towards safer roads, brighter minds, and a more secure tomorrow.
