ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸ್ಯಾಪ್ಮನ್ 2026 (SAPMUN 2026) ಮಾದರಿ ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಚರ್ಚಾ, ರಾಜತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮೆರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಭದ್ರತಾ ಮಂಡಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ (UNSC) ಡೆನ್ಮಾರ್ಕ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದ ರಿಯಾನ್ ಬ್ರ್ಯಾಗ್ಸ್ ಅವರು ‘ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಭಾಜನರಾದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಕ್ರೈಸಿಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಬಿನೆಟ್ ಸಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ (CCC) ಟರ್ಕಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದ ಅಯಾನ್ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಇಸ್ಮಾಯಿಲ್ ಶೇಖ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೆಕ್ಸಿಕೊವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಕ್ ಆರ್ಯನ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಅವರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇದೇ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.
ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗೈಟ್ಸ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯ ಛಾಪು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ, ವಿಡಿಯೋಗ್ರಫಿ ಮತ್ತು ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಖದೀಜಾ ಲಿಯಾನಾ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ‘ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ – ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ವಿಭಾಗ’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಮೆರುಗು ನೀಡುವಂತೆ, ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ತಂಡವು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ‘ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ನಿಯೋಗ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ’ (Best Delegation Award) ನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ತಂದಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಯು ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ವಿಮರ್ಶಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿಂತನೆ, ಸಂವಹನ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾಧನೆ ಮೆರೆದ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದೆ.
Gonzagaites Shine at SAPMUN 2026, Win Best Delegation Award
Students of St. Aloysius Gonzaga School showcased their debating, diplomatic and journalistic skills at SAPMUN 2026, a Model United Nations (MUN) conference organised by St. Aloysius Pre-University College. The event brought together students who participated as delegates representing different countries in various United Nations committees, along with members of the International Press.
The Gonzagaites delivered impressive performances across the committees. Rion Braggs, representing Denmark in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), received an Honourable Mention. In the Crisis Cabinet Committee (CCC), Ayan Mohammad Ismail Shaikh, representing Turkey, and Mark Aryan Noronha, representing Mexico, were also conferred Honourable Mentions for their noteworthy performances.
The school also made its mark in the International Press, which comprised three divisions—Journalism, Videography and Photography. Khadija Liyana was adjudged the Best Journalist – International Press, SAPMUN 2026, recognising her outstanding journalistic skills and coverage of the conference.
Adding to the achievements, the students representing St. Aloysius Gonzaga School in the International Press collectively earned the Best Delegation Award, bringing special recognition to the school for their overall performance.
The achievements reflect the students’ confidence, critical thinking, research skills, diplomacy, communication and ability to engage with global issues. The school congratulated the young achievers and their mentors for their commendable performance at SAPMUN 2026.
