Bank of Baroda promotes regional growth; those who know the state’s language should apply by September 7
Mangaluru: In a major push to strengthen grassroots banking and create local employment, Bank of Baroda has announced a recruitment drive for 2,482 Local Bank Officers (LBOs) in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
The recruitment will be carried out across 20 states and Union Territories, including Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Odisha.
A key feature of the drive is the state-centric posting policy. Selected officers will serve in the state for which they have applied for the first 12 years of service or until their promotion to SMGS-IV grade, whichever is earlier. The move is aimed at building a workforce with strong local language proficiency, cultural connect and knowledge of local markets.
According to the bank, the initiative will not only deepen customer relationships and improve service delivery but also create quality career opportunities for local talent.
Executive Director Lal Singh said the drive is an investment in both workforce and communities. “By bringing in young professionals with strong local understanding, we are strengthening our ability to respond to evolving customer needs while contributing to regional economic development,” he said.
Eligible candidates must be graduates aged 21 to 30 years, with at least one year of experience as an officer in a scheduled commercial bank and fluency in the local language. The last date to apply online is September 7
