ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ,| 21 ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2026; ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸಮೂಹವು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 21, 2026 ರಂದು ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಮತ್ತು ಓಣಂನ ಶುಭ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಭವ್ಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಂತವಾಯಿತು. ಹೂವುಗಳ ಪರಿಮಳ, ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಉಡುಪಿನ ಸೊಬಗು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಉಷ್ಣತೆಯು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಮತ್ತು ಯೌವ್ವನದ ಚೈತನ್ಯದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾಗ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಮೋಡಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಸೂಸಿತು.
ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ, ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ದೇವಿಯ ದೈವಿಕ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೋರುವ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಪೂಜೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸಮೂಹದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಮತಾ ಅವರು ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು, ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಥಿಕ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಸುಂದರ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಉಡುಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ಗೆ ಸೊಬಗು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವು ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಬಹುನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಪೂಕಲಂ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಯೋಗದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಆಚರಣೆಯಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಹೂವಿನ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ವಾಸ್ ಆಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದರು, ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಮಾದರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂವುಗಳನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪೂಕಲಂ ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಓಣಂ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಹೃದಯಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಂಡದ ಕೆಲಸ, ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯ, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಆಳವಾದ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಣಂನ ಅರ್ಥ, ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಸಮೂಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಅವರು ಓಣಂ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ ಮಹಾಬಲಿಯ ಪೌರಾಣಿಕ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಉತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸಮಾನತೆ, ಕರುಣೆ, ಔದಾರ್ಯ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಕಾಲಾತೀತ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವ ಆದರ್ಶಗಳ ಪ್ರಬಲ ವಾಹಕಗಳಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಅಧಿರಾಜ್ ಕನ್ಸ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಷನ್ನ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಭೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಉಷ್ಣತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವಾಗ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಬೇರುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿರಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿತು.
ನಂತರ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿ ಅರಳಿತು. ಅವರ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಚಲನೆಗಳು, ಶಕ್ತಿಯುತ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಲಯಬದ್ಧ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತು. ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸವಗಳಿಗೆ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಆಯಾಮವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರ ವಿತರಣಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಅವರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಸನ್ನೆಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಪಠ್ಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿತು.

VIDYALAXMI GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS CELEBRATES ONAM WITH DEVOTION, TRADITION AND CULTURAL GRANDEUR
Brahmavara, 21 August 2026;The Vidyalaxmi Group of Institutions, Brahmavara, Udupi, came alive in a magnificent celebration of faith, tradition, culture and togetherness as the institution marked the auspicious occasion of Varamahalakshmi Pooja and Onam on 21 August 2026. The campus radiated a festive charm as the fragrance of flowers, the elegance of traditional attire and the warmth of collective celebration created an atmosphere filled with spiritual grace and youthful vibrancy.
The celebration commenced with a sacred Varamahalakshmi Pooja, invoking the divine blessings of Goddess Varamahalakshmi for prosperity, peace and well-being. Mr. Subramanya, Chairman and Founder, and Mrs. Mamatha, Director, Vidyalaxmi Group of Institutions, took the initiative in performing the pooja. The faculty members joined the ceremony with devotion and reverence, making the occasion a beautiful expression of faith and institutional togetherness.
The festive spirit unfolded in vibrant colours as students adorned themselves in traditional attire, adding elegance and cultural richness to the campus. The much-awaited Pookalam Competition became a spectacular celebration of creativity and collaboration. Students transformed the campus into a vibrant floral canvas, arranging flowers in intricate patterns and captivating designs. Each Pookalam reflected not only artistic imagination but also the deeper values of teamwork, harmony, cultural pride and togetherness that lie at the heart of the Onam celebration.
A formal programme was subsequently organised to enlighten the students about the meaning, history and significance of Onam and its relevance in an educational institution. Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Mr. Subramanya, Chairman and Founder of Vidyalaxmi Group of Institutions, shared the fascinating story associated with the celebration of Onam and spoke about the legendary reign of King Mahabali. He highlighted the timeless values embodied in the festival—equality, compassion, generosity, prosperity and social harmony—and encouraged students to understand festivals not merely as occasions of celebration but as powerful carriers of cultural values and human ideals.
Adding further significance to the occasion, Mr. Sudhakar Shetty of Adhiraj Construction shared his thoughts with the gathering. His words added warmth and inspiration to the celebration, encouraging the students to remain connected with their cultural roots while embracing the opportunities and responsibilities of the modern world.
The celebration then blossomed into a vibrant cultural spectacle with a captivating dance performance by the students. Their graceful movements, energetic expressions and rhythmic presentation filled the atmosphere with excitement and enthusiasm. The performance beautifully showcased the students’ artistic talents and added a colourful cultural dimension to the festivities.
The programme culminated in a heartwarming certificate distribution ceremony, where certificates were presented to the students in appreciation of their enthusiastic participation and contribution to the successful conduct of the celebration. The gesture served as an encouragement for students to actively engage in cultural and co-curricular activities and continue discovering and nurturing their talents.
The Onam and Varamahalakshmi celebration at Vidyalaxmi Group of Institutions was much more than a festive occasion; it was a celebration of heritage, harmony and human values. From the serenity of the sacred pooja and the vibrant beauty of the Pookalam to the elegance of traditional attire and the rhythm of student performances, every moment reflected the institution’s commitment to preserving cultural traditions while nurturing confident, creative and socially conscious young minds.
