ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ, ಜುಲೈ 16: ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯು ವನಮಹೋತ್ಸವ 2026 ಅನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಬಲವಾದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9.30 ಕ್ಕೆ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರೋಸರಿ ಮಿಲೇನಿಯಂ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪೂರ್ವಕ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾದ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ನೃತ್ಯವು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿತು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರು ಪರಿಸರ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಹರಡುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗುಪ್ತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ಒಂದು ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಗಳು, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವು ಎರಡು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು.
ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಸೇರಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರವರ್ಧಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಮರವು ಭೂಗೋಳದ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೇವಲ ಪಾಲಕರು ಎಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೇ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಅದರ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯುಕ್ತ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಡೆರಹಿತ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಗಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ವಿಭಾಗವು ಯುವ ಕಲಿಯುವವರ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಡುಗಳು, ನೃತ್ಯಗಳು, ಕಿರುನಾಟಕಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದು, ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದವು.
ಶಾಲಾ ಉದ್ಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ವಿವಿಧ ಶಾಲಾ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಆನ್ಸಿಲ್ಲಾ ರೋಶ್ನಿ ಡಿ’ಮೆಲ್ಲೊ, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ, ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗಣ್ಯರು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಗಿಡ ನೆಡುವ ಅಭಿಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರುಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಸಿ ನೆಡುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ಆರಂಭ, ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಿಜವಾದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ನಿಖರವಾಗಿ ಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರಿತು. ಇದು ‘ವನಮಹೋತ್ಸವ 2026’ ಅನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಸರ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಆಳವಾದ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಹಸಿರು, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಜೀವಿತಾವಧಿಯ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗಳಾಗಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿತು.
Vanamahotsava 2026 at Kalyanpur Mount Rosary English Medium High School
Kallianpur, July 16: Mount Rosary English Medium High School celebrated Vanamahotsava 2026 with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental conservation. The programme commenced in the Mount Rosary Millenium Auditorium at 9.30 a.m. with a prayerful invocation, followed by a graceful welcome dance that created an inspiring atmosphere for the occasion.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Keshav Poojary, Beat Forest Officer, Hiriyadka, inaugurated the programme and delivered an enlightening address on the importance of protecting forests, preserving biodiversity, and maintaining a clean and green environment. Drawing from his field experience, he encouraged students to become responsible custodians of nature by planting and nurturing trees and adopting eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
The function was presided over by Prof. P. Archibald Furtado, Member of the Management Committee and Member of CESU. In his presidential address, he congratulated Principal Sr. Ancilla Roshni D’Mello, the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, and the students for organising an exceptionally meaningful and well-planned Vanamahotsava. He observed that what appeared to be a symbolic celebration had, in reality, evolved into a remarkable educational experience that beautifully combined environmental awareness with creativity and student participation.
Mr Furtado particularly appreciated the programme for spreading ecological consciousness while providing a vibrant platform to showcase the hidden talents of children. The creative blend of presentations, cultural performances, and thought-provoking messages kept the audience engaged throughout the two-hour programme.
One of the most memorable moments was the unique inauguration ceremony, where a flourishing tree emerged from the centre of a globe, symbolising that the Earth belongs not only to humanity but to all living beings, and reminding everyone that we are merely caretakers entrusted with the responsibility of preserving it for future generations
The programme, confidently compered by the students themselves, stood out for its informative narration and seamless presentation. Every segment carried a meaningful environmental message suited to the understanding of young learners. Songs, dances, skits, and creative performances effectively highlighted the importance of conserving nature, reducing pollution, and protecting the environment.
The celebration concluded with the planting of saplings in the school garden. Student leaders, representatives of various school associations, Principal Sr. Ancilla Roshni D’Mello, the staff, the Chief Guest, and the dignitaries enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive. As the saplings were watered, the Chief Guest shared practical tips on nurturing trees and emphasised that planting a sapling is only the beginning, while caring for it is the real responsibility.
The meticulously planned programme left a lasting impression on everyone present. It not only celebrated ‘Vanamahotsava 2026’ but also instilled in the students a deeper sense of environmental responsibility and inspired them to become lifelong ambassadors of a greener, cleaner, and healthier world.
