ಬಾರ್ಕೂರಿನ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕ, ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯರಾದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಪುರುಷೋತ್ತಮಾನಂದ ಜಿ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ‘ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ’ (ಮೆರಿಟ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ) ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಣ್ಯರು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಸನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ನಂತರ, ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗೀತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.
ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹೇಮಾವತಿ ಪಿ.ಎಸ್. ಅವರು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾರ್ ಅವರು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.
ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಗೆ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಂಡ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್ಚಿಬಾಲ್ಡ್ ಫರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಮೆರಿಟ್ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ನಂತರ, ಹಿಂದಿನ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಪಿಯುಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಎಲ್ಸಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಧನೆ ತೋರಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ದಾನಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 100% ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಎಲ್ಸಿ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 616 ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ 10 ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ತಂದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಗಾಯತ್ರಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಗಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಪತ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಗಣ್ಯರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಮಹತ್ವ, ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಗುಣಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕವೆಂದು ಸಾಬೀತಾಯಿತು.
ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಗುಂಡ್ಮಿ, ದಾನಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ನಗದು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಓದಿದರು. ಹಿಂದಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾವೆಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸಿಲ್ವಾ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು. ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎ.ಎಚ್. ಗೌಡ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಸ್ತನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸುಗಮ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು.
ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕಮಲಾ (ಕರಕುಶಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ), ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕೀರ್ತಿಕಾ (ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ), ಅತಿಥಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಶ್ವಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೇಷ್ಮಾ ಅವರು ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಜಿ.ಪಿ. ಅವರ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಾರುತಿ ಕೆ.ಪಿ. ಅವರ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮೋಡಿ ನೀಡಿತು.
ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುತಿಸುವ ‘ಮೆರಿಟ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ’ 2025 26, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಉನ್ನತ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿತು. ಶಾಲೆಯ 80 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಪುಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಘಟನೆಯಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ.
Barkur National High School; ‘Pratibha Puraskar’ on the occasion of Swami Purushottamananda Ji’s birth anniversary
At the National High School, Barkur, a grand ‘Prathibha Puraskara’ (Merit Award) programme was on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of the institution’s spiritual guide, the late Swami Purushothamananda Ji, an proud alumnus and the founding Headmaster of the school, P. N. Boja Rao.
The programme was presided over by the Secretary of our Management Committee, Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty. Prominent members of the Management Committee were present as chief guests.
After all the dignitaries took their seats on the dais, the programme commenced with a prayer song rendered by the students of the High School section.
The Headmistress of the High School section, Mrs. Hemavathi P. S., welcomed the guests on behalf of the institution. The Treasurer of the Management Committee, Mr. Krishna Hebbar, formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Mr. Archibald Furtado, Admin coordinator and the newly inducted member of the Executive Committee of the Management, in his introductory address, explained to the students the purpose and significance of the ‘Merit Award’ programme.
Thereafter, students who had shown outstanding academic performance in the previous academic year in the II PUC and SSLC examinations were identified and honoured with cash awards sponsored by donors. Students and teachers of the High School section were also congratulated for achieving a 100% result.
Miss Gayathri Shettigar, who secured 616 marks in the SSLC public examination and brought laurels to the school and the village by securing the 10th rank at the state level, was specially honoured with a memento and a citation on behalf of the Management and the school.
The dignitaries present on the occasion addressed the students and guided them on the importance of education, the value of hard work, and the qualities required to succeed in life. Their words proved to be highly inspiring for the students.
Mr. Ashok Gundmi, a teacher of the High School, read out the list of students who received the cash awards sponsored by donors. Mr. Novel D’Silva, the Hindi teacher, assisted in preparing the list of awardees. Mr. A. H. Gowda, the Physical Education teacher, ensured discipline among the students and contributed to the smooth conduct of the programme.
Mrs. Kamala (Craft teacher), Mrs. Keerthika (Science teacher), guest teacher Ms. Ashwitha, and Mrs. Reshma actively involved themselves in the preparations and arrangements for the felicitation programme and stage setup.
The programme concluded successfully with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Prabhakar G. P., the Sanskrit teacher of the High School section. The neat and effective compering by Kannada teacher Mr. Maruthi K. P. added charm to the event.
Overall, the ‘Merit Award’ 2025 26, programme, which encouraged and recognized student talent, celebrated their achievements and inspired them to aim for higher goals. It remains a memorable and cherished event in the golden pages of the school’s 80 years of history.
