ಮಂಗಳೂರು; ಜೂನ್ 29 ರ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ಬಜ್ಜೋಡಿಯ ಇನ್ಫೆಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ “ತಂದೆಯರ ದಿನ” ವನ್ನು ಅದ್ಧೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 10 ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 60 ಅಪ್ಪಂದಿರು ಮತ್ತು 40 ಇತರರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸಂಜೆ 5 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗೀತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಅನಿತಾ ವೇಗಾಸ್ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಅಪ್ಪಂದಿರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಸೇವಕರು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ‘ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಂಘ’ ನಾವು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಬಳಸುವ ವಿವಿಧ ತರಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಾಡು-ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು, ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರತಂದಿತು. “ಸೇವಾ ಆಯೋಗ್” ನ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ಡಾ. ರೆನಿಟಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ತಂದೆಯಂದಿರು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿದವರಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ಆಟಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು, ಅದು ಬಹಳ ಮನರಂಜನೆ ನೀಡಿತು.

ಆಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಪ್ಪಂದಿರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೇಷ್ಮಾ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಅವರ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತಿಂಡಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತಂಪು ಪಾನೀಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಡಾ. ರೆನಿಟಾ ಮತ್ತು “ಸೇವಾ ಆಯೋಗ್” ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

Mangaluru; On Sunday, June 29th evening the “Fathers’ Day” was celebrated in a grand manner at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi. Around 60 Dads & 40 others participated from 10 parish wards.
The program began at 5pm with a prayer song. Anitha veigas welcomed the gathering. A beautiful dance was performed by the altar servers in felicitation of the Dads. Then parish ‘Women Association’ put up a meaningful song-dance performance on the various vegetables which are used by us daily, bringing out their unique features. Dr. Renita D’souza, the coordinator of “Seva Ayog” conducted many games to the Fathers’ gathered which were very entertaining.
Two of Fathers’ representatives Mr. Vincent Pinto and Mr. Avin Cutinha spoke on the role of a Dad in the growth of the Children which was very inspiring. Then, Mrs. Janet D’Souza, PPC Vice-president, spoke the words of felicitation to the Dads appreciating their great sacrifice in their family life. Finally, Fr. Dominic Vas, Parish priest, spoke comparing the role of a Dad in the family to the backbone which though unseen yet supports the whole body.
The prizes were distributed to the winners in the games and all the Fathers were awarded with a memorable gift.
The Program concluded with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Reshma Pinto and the snacks and cold drinks were served to everyone.
All appreciated the good organisation of the program by Dr. Renita and the “Seva Ayog” members.
