ಮಂಗಳೂರು:ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು 2ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 2026 ರಂದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗೌರವ ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಸರ್ವಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪಿತನಿಗೆ ಪುಷ್ಪನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಾರೆಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಮೂಲ ತತ್ವಗಳು, ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತ್ಯಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಸದ್ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬನೆಯ ಕನಸಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ, ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತಾ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ಕೌಟ್ಸ್, ಗೈಡ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎನ್.ಸಿ.ಸಿ.ಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಸಮುದಾಯ ಸೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಗರಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಪರ್ಣಾ ಸುರೇಶ್, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪ ಕರ್ಕಡ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪ್ತಿ ಕರ್ಕಡ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕ್ಯಾರೆಲ್ ಟೀನಾ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION AT ST ALOYSIUS GONZAGA SCHOOL
“Be the change you wish to see in the world”-Mahatma Gandhi
St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2026, with solemnity and enthusiasm at the Gonzaga Ground to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The program commenced with an all-faith prayer service, Sarva Dharma Prarthana, followed by a floral tribute to the Father of the Nation and an engaging cultural performance by the students.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Principal Ms. Laurel Dsouza highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s core principles, values, and sacrifices, advising students to integrate positive virtues into their daily lives.
To honor Gandhi’s vision of cleanliness and self-reliance, the school organized a Shramadhan (cleanliness drive). Student volunteers from the Scouts, Guides, and NCC actively participated in cleaning the school surroundings, reflecting on the importance of community service and civic responsibility.
Vice-principal Ms Aparna Suresh, Academic coordinators Ms Deepa Karkada,Ms Deepthi Karkada, Mr Carol Tina Rodrigues, along with teachers, non-teaching staff and student representatives were present.
