ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಎಸ್.ಡಿ.ಎಂ ಉಜಿರೆ ವತಿಯಿಂದ 28 ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 2026ರಂದು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಎ. ಐ ಸಿ ಎಸ್ ಅಂತರ್ ಶಾಲಾ ಬ್ಯಾಡ್ಮಿಂಟನ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಬಾಲಕರ ಜೂನಿಯರ್ 14 ವರ್ಷದೊಳಗಿನ ವಯೋಮಿತಿಯ ಬ್ಯಾಡ್ಮಿಂಟನ್ ತಂಡವು ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಆಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದೆ.
ಪಂದ್ಯಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಿಂದ 25 ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ತಂಡ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದವು. ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ 8ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಜಿಯಾನ್ ಆಲ್ವಿನ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್, 6ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಅನುರಾಗ್ ಅನಿಲ್ ನಾಯಕ್, 4ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಈತನ್ ಪಿ.ಸಿ. ಹಾಗೂ 6ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಸಮರ್ಥ್ ವಿ. ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಗೊನ್ಝಾಗ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಶಟ್ಲರ್ಗಳು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ಶಿಪ್ ಅನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಗೆಲುವು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಸಾಧನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕಿರಿಯ ಆಟಗಾರರ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ, ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಯುವ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ, ಬದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಂ.ಫಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿ ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Gonzaga Shuttlers Win AICS Under-14 Badminton Championship
The Junior Boys Under-14 Badminton Team of St Aloysius Gonzaga School emerged as champions at the AICS Inter-School Badminton Competition organised by SDM Ujire on 28 September 2026.
The competition witnessed participation from 25 schools. St Aloysius Gonzaga School was represented by Gian Alwyn Fernandes of Class VIII, Anurag Anil Nayak of Class VI, Ethan P C of Class IV and Samarth V of Class VI.
The Gonzaga shuttlers displayed excellent skill, confidence and teamwork throughout the competition and secured the championship title in the Under-14 category.
The victory is a proud achievement for the school and reflects the dedication and sporting talent of the young players. The Principal, staff and students congratulated the young athletes for their hard work, dedication and excellent performance.
