In the Mangalore University Inter zone throw ball tournament for women, organized by IMJISC Moodlakatte in association with Mangalore University , Alva’s First Grade College Moodbidri emerged as champion defeating Govt. First Grade college Hebri in the final by 2-0. Paduva College Mangalore and MSRS Shirva bagged the third and fourth place respectively.
Earlier at the same venue, in the Udupi zone throw ball tournament, Alva’s Moodbidri emerged champion defeating Hebri Govt. College in the final match, third and fourth place were won by SMC Shirva and MSRS shirva respectively.
Chief Guest of the Prize Distribution Ceremony, held at IMJISC grounds Moodlakatte, Mr. Harsavardhan, MD of Sristi Infotech Kundapura, told that the sports should be an integral part of the education system and he appreciated the good participation by the teams . Guest of honour of the function Dr. Herald Santhosh, PD of Mangalore University, told the students to make time for the sports by cutting the time on the mobile phones, and achieve better physical fitness and mental health. Principal of IMJISC Moodlakatte and the president of the function, Dr. Prathibha Patel told, losing is not the end and by good determination followed by hard work will surely give the winning streak.

Prof. Pavana welcomed the gathering, Prof. Khaleel Ahamed read the list of winners , Prof. Pavana proposed the vote of thanks , Prof. Sumana was Master of Ceremony of the programme.
