ಮೇ 14, 2025, ಬೆಥನಿ ಸಭೆಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ, ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಜೀವನದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆದ ಮೂವತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತು ಉಜ್ವಲ ಸಹೋದರಿಯರು, ಮೂರು ಖಂಡಗಳಿಂದ ಬೆಥನಿಯ ಜನ್ಮಸ್ಥಳವಾದ ಬೆಥನಿ ಮಾತೃ ಮನೆಯ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರಳಿದರು.
ಈ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳುವುದು ಆಚರಣೆಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿತ್ತು – ಇದು ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿದ ಬೇರುಗಳ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಅಪ್ಪುಗೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕ್ಷಣದ ತಯಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮೂವತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲದ ನವೀಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಮ್ಮೆಟ್ಟುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂದೂರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆಂಗೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಜುಬಿಲಿಯನ್ನರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬ, ಪುನರ್ಯೌವನಗೊಳಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನವೀಕರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು.
ದಿನದ ಗಂಭೀರವಾದ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿಯ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅತಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ. ಹೆನ್ರಿ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಚರಣೆಕಾರರಾಗಿ, ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಜನ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರು ‘ಹೌದು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಧೈರ್ಯಮಾಡಿದ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೃಪೆ, ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯಿಂದ ಬದುಕಿದ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಅನುಕರಣಕಾರರಾಗಲು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಜುಬಿಲಿಯನ್ನರನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ನಡೆದದ್ದು ಒಂದು ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವನ್ನು, ಭಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಾತ್ಸಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಓದಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು – ಮಿಷನ್, ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಜೀವನ. ಕಥೆಗಳು ಸರಳತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಿಂಚಿದವು, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದೂ ಬೆಥನಿಯ ನಿರಂತರ ಸೇವಾ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂದು ಪದ್ಯ.
ನವೀಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮರಿಯೆಟ್, ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಮತ್ತು ಉಷ್ಣತೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು, ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಧಾಟಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಸಿದರು.
ಸುಪೀರಿಯರ್ ಜನರಲ್, ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ರೋಸ್ ಸೆಲೀನ್, ಜುಬಿಲಿಯನ್ನರನ್ನು ಹೂಮಾಲೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯ ಸಂಕೇತಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಥನಿಗೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಹೊರಸೂಸುತ್ತದೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧ್ಯೇಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಚೈತನ್ಯಶೀಲ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿರಿಸಿದೆ.” ವಾತ್ಸಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದ ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೂ ಮುಟ್ಟಿದವು.
ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡ ನೆನಪುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲುಗಳ ಮಾಧುರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುವ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಜುಬಿಲಿ ಕೇಕ್ ಅನ್ನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದವು. ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಶುಭಾಶಯ ಗೀತೆ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸಿತು, ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದಿತು.
ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಕೋರಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಜುಬಿಲಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಕೃಪೆಯ ಋತುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿದ ಬೆಥನಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿಹ್ನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸನ್ನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸೃಜನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಮರಿಯೆಟ್ ಅವರ ನಿಖರವಾದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ರೀನಾ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಬಿಎಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ರೆನಿಟಾ ರೇಗೊ ಬಿಎಸ್ ಅವರು ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಜುಬಿಲಿಯು ಸಮಯದ ಗುರುತುಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿತ್ತು – ಇದು ದೃಢವಾದ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಉಜ್ವಲ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದ ‘ಹೌದು’ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಜೀವನಗಳ ಆಚರಣೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Bethany Congregation Rejoices: A Silver Jubilee of 39 Radiant Sisters
May 14, 2025, will forever remain a treasured milestone in the annals of the Bethany Congregation, as thirty-nine radiant Sisters, who have faithfully walked the path of consecrated life for twenty-five years, returned from three continents to the sacred soil of Bethany Mother House, Bendur – the birthplace of Bethany.
This homecoming was more than a celebration – it was a sacred embrace of the roots that once nurtured their vocation. In preparation for this historic moment, thirty days-long renewal programme and retreat was prayerfully organized at Bendur Mangalore and Kengeri, Bangalore, offering the Jubilarians time for reflection, rejuvenation, and spiritual renewal.
The day’s solemn Eucharistic celebration was graced by the presence of Most Rev. Dr Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary, as the main celebrant, joined by twelve concelebrants. In his homily, the Bishop beautifully lifted up the Jubilarians who dared to say ‘Yes’ and lived it with grace, courage, and fidelity and called them to be the imitators of Christ.
What followed was a vibrant and heartfelt felicitation programme. Each citation, read aloud with reverence and affection, was a narrative of dedication – a life poured out in mission, prayer, and love. The stories sparkled with simplicity and strength, each one a verse in Bethany’s continuing hymn of service.
Sr Mariette, the coordinator of the renewal programme and the celebration, welcomed the gathering with grace and warmth, setting the tone for a joyous celebration.
The Superior General, Sr Rose Celine, honoured the Jubilarians with garlands and tokens of appreciation. In her moving address, she said, “Your lives radiate the spirit of prayer and deep belonging to Bethany. Your faith-filled journey has kept you vibrant and alive in your mission.” Her words, wrapped in affection and admiration, touched every heart.
A beautiful jubilee cake was joyfully cut by the silver stars, symbolizing the sweetness of shared memories and sacred milestones. A jubilant greeting song echoed through the hall, uplifting spirits and wrapping the celebration in music and love.
In a chorus of gratitude, the Jubilarians expressed creatively their heartfelt thanks through symbols and gestures to the Bethany family that had nurtured them through seasons of grace. Their special appreciation was offered with love and joy to Sr Mariette for her meticulous planning.
The programme was elegantly anchored by Sr Reena D’Souza BS and Sr Renita Rego BS. This Jubilee was more than a marker of time – it was a celebration of steadfast love, of radiant witness, and of lives that continue to reflect the beauty of a wholehearted ‘Yes’ to God.
