ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 12, 2024: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ “ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಅಂಗ” ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ವಿವಿಧೋದ್ದೇಶ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಘವು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 11 ರಂದು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಸೇಕ್ರೆಡ್ ಹಾರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪನಾ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿತು. ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ, ಕಂಕನಾಡಿ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು.

53 ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ತಂಡ, ಜನರಲ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್, ಇಎನ್‌ಟಿ, ಡರ್ಮಟಾಲಜಿ, ಪೀಡಿಯಾಟ್ರಿಕ್ಸ್, ನೇತ್ರಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ, ಪ್ರಸೂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ತ್ರೀರೋಗ (ಒಬಿಜಿ) ಮೂಳೆಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗಳು, ಇಸಿಜಿ, ಬಿ.ಪಿ, ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ತ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಂತಹ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಔಷಧವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 1700 ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದವರು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮಲ್ಟಿಪರ್ಪಸ್ ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಸರ್ವಿಸ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ(ಆರ್) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಅತಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೋ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಜನರಿಗಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಯಿಸಿದ ವೈದ್ಯರ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಬಸವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವ ಮರುಳಸಿದ್ದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಸರ್ವಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನಡೆಸಿರುವುದು ಸಂತಸ ತಂದಿದೆ. ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದೆ ಎಂಬ ಭಾವನೆಯಿಂದ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಆರೋಗ್ಯವು ಯಾವುದೇ ಜಾತಿ, ಧರ್ಮದ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು; ದೈಹಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಂತ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಬಡವರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಳೆದ 35 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಎಸ್‌ಎಂಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯ ಎಂದು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಆದಂ ರಝಾ ನಯೀಮಿ, ಮುದರ್ರಿಸ್ ಮರ್ಕಝ್ ಸಅದಾ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪನಾ ದಿನದಂದು ಧರ್ಮ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೆಗಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವುದು ಸೂಕ್ತ. ಎಲ್ಲ ಧರ್ಮದ ಜನರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಶಾಂತಿಯ ತೋಟವಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ರಕ್ಷಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಬೊಮ್ಮಾರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯ. ನಮ್ಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಬೆಲೆ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಶೋಷಿತರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಡಾ.ಉಜ್ವಲ್ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಎಸ್‌ಎಂಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಫಾದರ್ ಪಿಯೂಸ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಎಸ್‌ಎಂಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್‌ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ದೀನದಲಿತರನ್ನು ಘನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬದುಕಲು ಉನ್ನತೀಕರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಎಂಸಿಇಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೆ.ಫಾ.ಡಾ. ಕ್ಲಿಫರ್ಡ್ ರೋಶನ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಮೇರಿ ಇಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಯುಲೇಟ್ ಕಾನ್ವೆಂಟ್‌ನ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕಿ ರೀಟಾ ಶಾಂತಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ಶಿಬಿರದ ಭವ್ಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಂಕನಾಡಿಯ ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ 53 ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ತಂಡವು ನಮ್ಮ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅಪಾರ ಸೇವೆಗೆ SMSSS ಸದಾ ಕೃತಜ್ಞರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಅವರ ಧ್ಯೇಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟತೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

SMSSS of Diocese of Shimoga celebrated its Foundation Day

Shivamogga, August 12, 2024: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society, Shivamogga, the “development arm” of the Diocese of Shimoga celebrated its Foundation Day on August 11th at Sacred Heart Cathedral Campus, Shivamogga by organizing free health check camp in collaboration with Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady, Mangalore.

Team of 53 medical personnel, rendered health services such as General Medicine, ENT, Dermatology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) Orthopedic disorders, ECG, B.P, Sugar and Blood Test and required medicine is provided. 1700 participants availed the health benefits. Those who were advised for further treatment were asked to visit the hospital.

Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, the Bishop of the Diocese of Shimoga and the President of The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society(R) presided over the inaugural programme. He appreciated the service of Father Muller Hospital and thanked the team of doctors for their valuable time spent for our people.

Chief guest Dr Shree Basava Marulasidda Swamiji of Basava Kendra Shimoga, in his inaugural speech expressed that it is gratifying that we conducted the health checkup camp full of passion through interfaith prayers. He called upon us all to move together with the feeling of being one in society. Health is not an asset of any caste, religion, everyone should be conscious about health; he said a person considered healthy if physical and mental health is good. He appreciated the work done by the SMSSS for the past 35 years for the development of the poor people is commendable.

Adam Raza Naeemi, Mudarris Markaz SaAda Shimoga, a chief guest in this programme, said that it is apt that a mega health check-up camp is organized on the foundation day of the organization irrespective of religions. He said that the work done by the organization for the people of all faiths is like a garden of peace that creates a friendly spirit.

Mr. Anil Kumar Bommareddy, Additional District Defense Officer of Shimoga district, who arrived as the chief guest in the program, said that health is essential for everyone. Our wealth values nothing if our health is not good. He wished good for the organization who strives for the development of the oppressed people through more and more social service activities.

Dr Ujwal Suvarna, Father Muller Medical College Hospital, briefed on the various facilities available in their hospital which are accessible for everyone.

Fr Pius D’Souza, the Director of SMSSS, briefed about the journey of SMSSS and its impact in uplifting the downtrodden to live a life with dignity. MCES Secretary Rev. Fr Dr Clifford Roshan Pinto and Sr Rita Shanthi, Superior of Mary Immaculate Convent, Shimoga were present. Mr Manjunath marketing Manager of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, expressed gratitude for the grand success of the camp and well-knit arrangements.

ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಡಾ.ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೋ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ.ಯವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 9 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರಸಾದದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಯುವ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ.ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಅವರು ಯುವಜನರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೋ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.

ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರು “ಜೀಸಸ್ ಜೀವನದ ಬ್ರೆಡ್” ಕುರಿತು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ನಾವು ದೇವರ ಜನರು ಲಾರ್ಡ್ ಜೀಸಸ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅವರು ಲ್ಯೂಕ್ 16: 19-31 ಮತ್ತು ಲ್ಯೂಕ್ 22: 37-40 ರಿಂದ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಾವು ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಸ್ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಜನರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಯುವ ಭಾನುವಾರವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು CCBI ಯೂತ್ ಕಮಿಷನ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಯುವಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು.

ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್‌ನ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿ ಯುವ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೆ.ಫಾ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟು ರಾಜ್ ಎಸ್‌ಡಿಬಿ ಅವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಯುವ ಭಾನುವಾರವನ್ನು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್‌ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಯುವಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಎಂಬಿಎಯಲ್ಲಿ 8ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪಡೆದ ಯುವತಿ ಬೆನಿಟಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾರೇಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಅಂತೋನಿ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಹೋಲಿ ಬೈಬಲ್ ಬಿಹಾರ್ಟ್‌ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ 73 ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಮಗು ಬೆನಿಟಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು. ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಧನ್ಯವಾದವಿತ್ತರು.

ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 15 ರಂದು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್ಜೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯುವಜನರು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಅವರು ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿ ಯೂತ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಜಯ್ ಆಂಟೋನಿ ಹೋಲಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರನೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಭಾಂಗಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಯುವಕರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುವ ಬಿಳಿ ಟೇಪ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಅಂತೋನಿ ನಿಖಿಲ್, ಫಾದರ್ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟು ರಾಜ್ ಎಸ್‌ಡಿಬಿ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡವು ಅನಿಮೇಷನ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದೆ.

ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 11 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಯುವ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ ಫಾ.ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿಯ ಯುವ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಫಾ.ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ ಎಸ್.ಡಿ.ಬಿ. ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಅರ್ಚಕ ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿ ಪುಣ್ಯಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ, ಕಾರೇಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಜಯಂತಿ, ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿ ಲೇಡಿ ಅನಿಮೇಟರ್, ಕಾರೇಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಮರಿಯಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಐಸಿವೈಎಂ ಡಯೋಸಿಸನ್ ಯುವ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೆಸ್ವಿತಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ವೈಸಿಎಸ್/ವೈಎಸ್‌ಎಂ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿ ಯೂತ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ವಿಜಯ್ ಆಂಟೋನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರೇಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಐಸಿವೈಎಂ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಸ್ಮಿತಾ.

ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಅವರು ನಾಯಕನ ಗುಣಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರಭು ಯೇಸುವಿನಂತೆ ನಾಯಕನು ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು. ಅವರು ಅಕ್ಷರದ ನಾಯಕನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ವರ್ಣಮಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು; ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ, ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವ, ಸಮರ್ಥ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾರ್ಹ. ಋಣಾತ್ಮಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯಲು ಯುವ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದರು.

ಫಾದರ್ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಟು ರಾಜ್ ಎಸ್‌ಡಿಬಿ ಅವರು “ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದು” ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಅದರ ಅನುಕೂಲಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್, ಡೀನರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಜನರನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಸಂಘಟಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

Fr ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಅವರು “ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳ ಅನುಕೂಲಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅನಾನುಕೂಲಗಳು” ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯುವಕರ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ನಾವು ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಯುವ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಯುವ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಮರಿಯಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು “ಯುವ ಕೂಟದ ಮಹತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಅನುಕೂಲಗಳು” ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಯುವ ಭಾನುವಾರವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಯುವಕರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 12 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು; ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಮೇಡಂ ಬ್ರಿಡ್ಗಿಟ್ ವರ್ಗೀಸ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಯೋಜಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ಬರ್ಟಿನ್ ಎಡ್ವರ್ಡ್ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸಾ ಅವರು ಐಟಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 2 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಊಟದ ನಂತರ, ICYM ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮರಿಯಾ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು YCS/YSM ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೆಸ್ವಿತಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡದವರು ಅನಿಮೇಷನ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಯುವಜನರ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಫಾದರ್ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತು ರಾಜ್ ಎಸ್ ಡಿಬಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ವಿಜೇತರಿಗೆ ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು.

ನಂತರ ICYM & YCS/YSM ಯುವ ಆಂದೋಲನವು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯದ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಭಯವನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಮಾಂಚಕರಾಗಲು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ಯುವಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಇದು ಕಣ್ಣು ತೆರೆಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುವ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಯುವ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್ಲಿನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ಆರಾಧನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ದಿನವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಅವರು ಯೆಶಾಯ 40:31 ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಲಾರ್ಡ್ ಜೀಸಸ್ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸಲು ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ಯುವಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸುವ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಲೆನ್ನಿ ಡೇಸಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಸಂಯೋಜಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಗಗನ್ ರಾಜ್ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಮೆಲ್ ಡೀನರಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು; ಶ್ರೀ ರೋಹನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ, ಶ್ರೀ ರೊನಾಲ್ಡ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಶ್ರೀ ಅಮಿತ್ ಲೋಬೋ ಅವರು ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಾದದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಅವಿರತವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು.

Diocese of Shimoga celebrated National Youth Day

Shivamogga, August 12, 2024; Diocese of Shimoga celebrated National Youth Sunday on August 11th at St. Anthony’s Shrine, Karehalli, Bhadravati, Shivamogga. On this occasion, a program was organized at the Carmel Deanary in the Diocese of Shimoga, under the guidance of of Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza, Diocesan Youth Director, Rev. Fr Christu Raj SDB, Carmel Deanery Youth Director and Rev. Fr Santhosh Almeida, Parish Priest of St. Anthony shrine, Karehalli.

The program began with Holy Eucharist at 9am led by Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga. Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza, Diocesan Youth Director welcomed Bishop Francis Serrao SJ on behalf of the Youth.

Bishop preached on “Jesus is the bread of Life”. We the people of God follow the teaching of Lord Jesus and inculcate values of the Gospel. He gave examples from Luke 16:19-31 and Luke 22: 37-40. We are people who seek heaven by looking at God. He specially prayed for the Youth as CCBI Youth Commission invited Indian Catholic Church to celebrate National Youth Sunday.

End of the Holy Eucharist Parish Priest Rev. Fr Christu Raj SDB, Carmel Deanery Youth Director, thanked Bishop for inaugurating National Youth Sunday with Holy Eucharist and praying for the youth.

Bishop felicitated Youth Ms. Benita from St. Anthony’s Church, Karehalli as she secured 8th Rank in MBA. He also honoured child Benita for mentioning all the 73 books of Holy Bible biheart. Parish Priest Fr Santhosh Almeida thanked Bishop.

As Bishop Francis Serrao SJ celebrates his birthday on August 15th. Youth wished Bishop and Fr Franklin D’Souza led special prayer for the Bishop and for the Diocese.

After the Holy Eucharist, Carmel Deanery Youth President Mr. Vijay Antony led Holy Cross in the procession to thd programme hall. Cross was erected in the Hall. Every Youth tied the white tape symbolising peace and blessings on each one of them.

The Stage program began at 11am the chief guests of this programme were Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza,Youth Director of Diocese of Shimoga, Rev. Fr Christu Raj SDB, Youth Director of Carmel Deanery, Rev. Fr. Santosh Almeida, Parish Priest St. Anthony Shrine, Karehalli, Sr. Jayanti, Carmel Deanery Lady Animator, Karehalli, Ms. Priya Maria D’Souza, ICYM Diocesan Youth President, Ms. Jesvita D’Souza, YCS/YSM Regional President, Mr. Vijay Antony, Carmel Deanery Youth President and Ms. Smitha, ICYM President of Karehalli.

Fr Franklin D’Souza spoke on “Qualities of a leader”. He said that a leader should be a role model like Lord Jesus. He explained each alphabet of the letter leader saying that; Loving, Encouraging, Able, Discipline, Enthusiastic and Reliable. He invited young leaders to defeat negativity and go ahead with positive mind.

Fr Christu Raj SDB spoke on “How to build Youth groups in the Parishes”. He explained its advantages and why Youth need to be organised in our Parishes, Deanery and in the Diocese.

Fr Santhosh Almeida spoke on “Advantages and Disadvantages of social networks”. He systematically explained in the language of the youth about Social media. He said we shouldn’t be used but we should integrate social media in Youth life.

Diocesan Youth President Ms. Priya Maria D’Souza spoke on “Importance of Youth gathering and it’s advantages “. She congratulated Youth for gathering in a big number to celebrate the National Youth Sunday.

At 12pm Resource persons; Madam Bridgit Varghese from Shivamogga shared her experiences and offered suggestions on how to utilize the available facilities in Minority Department and plan for future Career Guidance. Then Mr. Bertin Edward Mendonsa from Bangalore, spoke on Opportunities for the youth in the IT field.

After the Lunch at 2pm, ICYM President Ms. Maria Priya D’Souza and YCS/YSM Regional President Ms. Jesvita D’Souza and team led the animation. Fr Christu Raj SDB led the games for the youth and Fr Franklin D’Souza distributed the prizes for the winners.

Then Youth shared their testimonies and experiences on how the ICYM & YCS/YSM Youth movement has helped them to be more active and vibrant by defeating fear complex and overcoming the stage fear in their lives. It was a eye-opening and motivating session.

The day concluded with a soulful Adoration led by Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza, Youth Director of Shimoga Diocese. He spoke on the theme Isaiah 40:31 and invited Youth to love Lord Jesus Christ and follow his path truthfully and willfully. He led the youth in to Repentance and he led the healing session by praying for the youth.

Carmel Deanery Vice President Ms. Lenny Desa compered the Program. Carmel Deanery Program Coordinator Mr. Gagan Raj proposed vote of thanks.

ಕುಂದಾಪುರ: ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಯು.ಬಿ.ಎಮ್.ಸಿ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 10.08.2024 ರಂದು ಗಣ್ಯರು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಆರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅನಿತಾ ಆಲಿಸ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಜ್ಞಾನೋದಯದ ಗೀತೆ ಹಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಉಜ್ವಲಾ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ, ಸಿಎಸ್‌ಐ ಕೃಪಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ನರ್ಸರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸವಿತಾ, ಆರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವೀಣಾ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಮಾನ್ವಿಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅದಿತಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗೀತೆ ಹಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ದೋಷದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊಸ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾದ ಪ್ರಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಆರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಲು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಪೂರ್ವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹಾಡಿದರು. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಕರಕುಶಲ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಮತ್ತು ನವೀನರನ್ನಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಆರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟಿಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವರಿಸುವಾಗ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಅನ್ನು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸಲು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಹಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಹಾಯಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ದಿವ್ಯಾ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮುಗಿದ ನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕೆಲವು ರೇಖಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.

Establishment of Arts Club at UBMC English Medium School, Kundapur

UBMC English Medium School: Kundapura : The ART CLUB 2024-25 of UBMC English Medium School was established on 10.08.2024 at 11.30 am. The Principal, Mrs.Anita Alice Dsouza presided over the programme. The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Resource Person, Mrs.Savitha, Headmistress of CSI Krupa Vidyalaya Nursery School, Mrs.Veena , the Coordinator of Art Club, Student Coordinators Manvik and Adithi. Students implored God’s blessings through a prayer song. The dignitaries took part in the Inaugural Ceremony by lighting the lamp. The teachers sang the song of enlightenment during the Inaugural Ceremony.
Mrs.Ujwala delivered the welcome address. The Resouce Person encouraged students to learn new activities in Art Club by experimenting and trying something new and different through trial and error. The Resource Person taught a Patriotic song to students as a pre-activity on account of Independence Day. The Principal, in her Presidential address expressed her joy in opening the Art Club.
The students also sang a Patriotic song . Many students displayed their Craft activity on the theme of Independence Day.
The Principal appreciated and congratulated the teachers’ efforts in moulding the students to be creative and innovative. While listing and explaining about the Art Club and its activities, the
Principal urged the students to make optimum use of their teachers’ skills and to explore the Art Club.
Mrs.Rajeshwari , Asst.Teacher expressed her words of gratitude. The programme was anchored by Ms.Divya , Asst.Teacher.
After the programme winded up , students sketched and painted some drawings.
It was a feast to the eyes of the teachers to see their skills being groomed up.

VANA-MAHOTSAVA in Mount Rosary Church led by Catholic Sabha

This year, most innovative, purposeful and practical way of planting fruit bearing saplings by Gurkars and representatives of 18 wards was a demonstration of parish family was a beautiful sight to watch as the authorities entrusted with taking care of the allotted trees by watering, manure and round the year supervision.
On Sunday, 11th August, 2024, after the 8.00 am Holy Mass, as a part of Vana-mahotsava, was observed under the initiative of Catholic Sabha, Mount Rosary Unit, in association with the Commission for Environment of the Church, Stree Sanghatan, and the ICYM organised a programme to highlight the significance of conservation of bio diversity and environment.
Indeed it’s a social responsibility to have a green and clean surrounding and its time and need of the hour to take proactive steps in order to protect flora and fauna, not only of the nation but the world as a whole. Catholic Sabha always at the forefront to educate and encourage its members and general public to make its genuine efforts to popularise planting of trees, medicinal plants and shrubs from the grass root level.
In a symbolic ceremony that was organised just behind the Church, surrounding the open ground, Parish Priest Rev Dr Roque DSouza led and planted few saplings along with the assistant parish Priest Rev Fr. Oliver Nazareth, President of the Catholic Sabha Mr Elias DSouza, Mount Rosary Unit, CS Varado President Mrs Rosy Quadros, Office bearers of Catholic Sabah, Mount Rosary Church, ICYM Diocesan President Godwin Muscarenhas along with Local Unit Office bearers, Convenor of the Environment Commission of the Parish and representatives of Stree Sangatan and others were also present.
