Youth meet at st.joseph church belman
| The Youth day at St Joseph’s Church, Belman was celebrated on the 20th of January 2019. The day began with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Fr Roque Fernandes, Principal of Rosario Degree college, Mangalore. Fr Edwin D’Souza-Parish Priest, Fr Prakash Menezes-Assistant Parish Priest concelebrated at the Mass. The youth of the parish participated in the mass very devoutly.A session for the youth was held after the mass in the Church Mini-hall. Fr Royson Fernandes,P. R. O of Udupi Diocese – the Resource Person addressed the youth.A cultural programme was organised by the ICYM & YCS unit of the parish. The chief guest of the programme was Prof. Herald Fernandes, former principal of Mahesh Degree College, Mangalore. Fr Edwin D’Souza, Fr Prakash Menezes, Fr Kiran Nazareth, Mr Dion D’Souza, Mr Jason Cabral, Mr Deril DSa were present on the dais. The Young Achievers of the parish, Miss Jenilda Mathias and Miss Fiona Fernandes were facilitated. The parish youth artists performed a konkani play titled ‘Bindisola’ and was much appreciated by the parishioners. The whole programme was compered by Miss Joyline Rebello, ICYM and Miss Meryl DCruz, YCS.This initiative to unite all the youth of the parish as a plan for the Year of Youth 2019 proved a success, thanks to the Youth President of ICYM and YCS unit and the animators. |
