KUNDAPUR (Oct 21) : At a revival workshop organised for teachers at HMM and VKR SCHOOLS KUNDAPURA, esteemed educationist and Pro Chancellor of Sikkim Manipal University, Dr. Ramnarayan, stressed the importance of teachers building rapport with students.
“The teacher is a guide by the side, not a sage on the stage” quotes Dr Ramnarayan. He says, “Instead of lecturing from a pedestal, teachers should be alongside students, comprehending their concerns and serving as guides.” The workshop aimed to rejuvenate teaching practices and address classroom challenges. Principal Dr. Chintana Rajesh noted, “Rather than focusing on identifying problems, we should concentrate on finding solutions.” Sri Sitaram Nackathaya, Secretary of Kundapur Education Society and program chairman, highlighted the significance of training for teachers to remain effective. The Academic Coordinator Vilma D’Silva introduced the speaker. Teacher Shweta skillfully moderated the program and extended gratitude to attendees.
The workshop drew participation from heads of various sections, faculty members, teacher-students, and interested educators from diverse schools in the Kundapur area.
