ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 13, 2025 ರಂದು ಪಾಮ್ ಸಂಡೆಯಂದು ಅಕುಲುಟೊದ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಕ್ಲೇರ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಭಕ್ತರು ಭಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿದರು, ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಗಂಭೀರ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಬಲಿದಾನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವಾರದ ಆರಂಭವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದರು. ನಾಗಾಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಯುವ ಚಳವಳಿಯ (NCYM) ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಕೊಕ್ಟೊ ಕುರಿಯನ್ ಅವರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು, ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಫಾದರ್ ಕೊಕ್ಟೊ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಡಾ. ರೋಸೌ ಪೊಹೆನಾ (ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು), ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವೆರೋನಿಕಾ (ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ), ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಎಸ್ತರ್ (ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ), ಶ್ರೀ ಲಿಯೋ (ಖಜಾಂಚಿ) ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ (ವೈಬ್ಸ್ ಸಂಪಾದಕ) ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ NCYM ನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಇದ್ದರು. ನಾಗಾಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಯುವಕರ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭವು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಏಕತೆಯ ಅರ್ಥ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿತು.
ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಫಾದರ್. ಕೊಕ್ಟೊ ಪಾಮ್ ಸಂಡೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ನಿರರ್ಗಳವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು, ಜೆರುಸಲೆಮ್‌ಗೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ವಿಜಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂದಿನ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತರಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಆಳವಾದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಸಭೆಗೆ ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವು ನಮ್ರತೆ, ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ಹಾದಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು.
ಸೇಂಟ್ ಕ್ಲೇರ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ, ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವ ತಂಡದ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿ, ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಇಂತಹ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವುದು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ, NCYM ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಔಟ್ರೀಚ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಫಾದರ್ ಕೊಕ್ಟೊ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿದ ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಏರಿದರು, ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಬೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರ ಭಾಷಣವು ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಬೇರೂರಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಜೀವನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಕ್ಶೆ ಪೀಟರ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು, NCYM ತಂಡದ ಭೇಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್‌ನ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಸೇಂಟ್ ಕ್ಲೇರ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪಾಮ್ ಸಂಡೆ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಕರ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿತು, ಈಸ್ಟರ್‌ಗೆ ಮುಂಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸಿತು.

Palm Sunday Celebrated with Fervour at St. Clare Church, Akuluto – Nagaland
The faithful of St. Clare Church, Akuluto, came together in a spirit of devotion and celebration on Palm Sunday on April 13th 2025, marking the beginning of Holy Week with a solemn and vibrant Mass held at 9:00 AM. The celebration was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Kokto Kurian, Director of the Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM), who served as the main celebrant.
Fr. Kokto was accompanied by key office bearers of NCYM, including Dr. Rosou Pohena (President), Ms. Veronica (Secretary), Ms. Esther (Joint Secretary), Mr. Leo (Treasurer), and Mr. Stephen (Vibes Editor). The occasion was further enriched by the participation of enthusiastic youth from Nagaland University, adding to the sense of unity and spiritual fervor.
During the homily, Fr. Kokto spoke eloquently on the significance of Palm Sunday, reminding the congregation of Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem and its deeper meaning for Christians today. His sermon offered a thoughtful reflection on humility, sacrifice, and the path toward resurrection.
Fr. Stephen D’Souza, the Parish Priest of St. Clare Church, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the visiting team for their presence, guidance, and encouragement. He acknowledged the blessing it was for the local community to witness and participate in such a spiritually enriching celebration.
Immediately following the Mass, an outreach program organized by NCYM was held. Fr. Kokto once again took the stage to address the gathered faithful, offering insightful teachings on the Catholic faith and sacraments. His talk emphasized the importance of a deep-rooted and active faith life.
Concluding the event, Mr. Vixshe Peter extended a vote of thanks on behalf of the community, appreciating the NCYM team for their visit and meaningful contribution to the spiritual life of the parish.
The Palm Sunday celebration at St. Clare Church stood as a powerful testament to unity in faith and the vibrant role of youth in the life of the Church, setting a reverent tone for the days leading up to Easter.
