ಕೆಪಿಜಿ ಎಂದು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗುಂಪು, ಅಬುಧಾಬಿ, ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 22, 2025 ರಂದು ತನ್ನ 25 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಜೆ 5:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಹೊರಾಂಗಣ ಥ್ಯಾಂಕ್ಸ್ಗಿವಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಸ್ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರ ಕೆಪಿಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.
ಕೆಪಿಜಿಯನ್ನು ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 18, 2000 ರಂದು ಅಬುಧಾಬಿಯ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್‌ನ ಆಗಿನ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿ, ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಯುಜೀನ್ ಮಟ್ಟಿಯೋಲಿ, ಒಎಫ್‌ಎಂ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಗುಂಪು ಅಸ್ಸಿಸಿ ಹಾಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸಾಪ್ತಾಹಿಕ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಸಭೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಸಿಕ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಆರಾಧನೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ, ದೇವದೂತರ ಗಾಯಕವೃಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಸ್ತುತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆರಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಪಿಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಚಿವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಮರಿಯನ್ ಮಿರಾಂಡಾ, ಒಎಫ್‌ಎಂ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳು ಜೂನ್ 2024 ರಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದವು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ವಿವಿಧ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಗತಗೊಳಿಸಲು ವಿವಿಧ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬೈಬಲ್ ರಸಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ, ಹಾಡುವ ಫ್ಯಾನ್ಸಿ ಡ್ರೆಸ್, ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಆನ್ ಪ್ಯಾರಬಲ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲೋಕ್ಯೂಷನ್‌ನಂತಹ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು 2024 ರ ಕೊನೆಯ ತ್ರೈಮಾಸಿಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕೆಪಿಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಗೋವಾ, ಕಾರವಾರ, ಮುಂಬೈ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೈಸೂರಿನವರು. ಇತರ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಗೊಂಡವರು ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಮರಳಿರುವವರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಈ ಭವ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ. ಕೆಪಿಜಿಯ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುವ ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
KONKANI PRAYER GROUP, ABU DHABI TO CELEBRATE ITS SILVER ANNIVERSARY ON FEBRUARY 22
Konkani Prayer Group, Abu Dhabi, popularly known as KPG will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary on 22nd February 2025. The celebration will include an outdoor Thanksgiving Mass at 5:00pm followed by a cultural program by members of KPG.
KPG was incepted on 18th February 2000, under the guidance of the then Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Abu Dhabi, Rev. Fr. Eugene Mattioli, OFM Cap. The group is known for its weekly prayer meetings intercessory prayer and monthly Eucharistic Adoration held in the Assisi Hall with an angelic choir and well lead Praise & Worship. The members of KPG are actively involved in various parish activities and ministries. The group is presently lead by Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Marian Miranda, OFM Cap.
The preparation for this celebration began as early as June 2024 where various committees were formed to prepare and execute different aspects of the event. The competitions such as Bible Quiz, Singing fancy Dress, Skit on Parables and Elocution were conducted during the last quarter of 2024.
The members of KPG hail from Mangalore, Goa, Karwar, Mumbai, Bangalore and Mysore. A large number of members, including those who have relocated to other countries and the ones who have returned to their native places are expected to attend this grand event. A souvenir depicting the twenty five years’ journey of KPG is set to be released during the anniversary celebration.
