ಕುಂದಾಪುರ (ಎ. 9 ) : ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ಎಜ್ಯುಕೇಶನ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಿತ ಎಚ್.ಎಮ್.ಎಮ್ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ವಿ.ಕೆ.ಆರ್ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉಪ್ಪುಂದದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಬಿ ಎಸ್ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರ ಮಾಲೀಕತ್ವದ ಸುಮುಖ ಸರ್ಜಿಕಲ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಪ್ರೈವೇಟ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸರ್ಜಿಕಲ್ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಜಯಶೇಖರ್ ಮಡಪ್ಪಾಡಿಯವರಿಂದ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಸುರೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ರುಚಿ -ಶುಚಿಯಾದ ಊಟದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಬೈಂದೂರಿನ ಬೋಳಂಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪದ್ಮಾವತಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯವನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಆಡಳಿತ ಧರ್ಮದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಧರ್ಮರಾಜ ಜೈನ್ ರವರು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ನಾಗೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಂಜನೇಯ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಜೀವನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಂತರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಾಡು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಾಡಬೇಕು. ಇಂದಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಜೀವನದ ಪರಿಚಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಜನರ ಬದುಕಿನ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರೀಕರಣವಾದರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ದೇಶ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಕಾಣಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದಿ, ಉತ್ತಮ ವಾಗ್ಮಿಯೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ತಲ್ಲೂರು ಬಾಲಚಂದ್ರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ಎಜ್ಯುಕೇಶನ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಿತ ಎಚ್.ಎಮ್.ಎಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಿ.ಕೆ.ಆರ್. ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ “ಪ್ಯಾಟಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ್ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಟೂರ್ “ ಸೀಸನ್ – 3 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸೊಗಡು ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಬೀಸುಕಲ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ದು ಬೀಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಚಿಂತನಾ ರಾಜೇಶ್ರವರು ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ಹಿರಿಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ರೇಖಾ ಕೆ.ಯು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಅವಧಿಯ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಉರಗ ತಜ್ಞ ಗುರುರಾಜ್ ಸನಿಲ್ ರವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ, ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರದ ಹಾವುಗಳ ಪರಿಚಯ, ಅವುಗಳ ಜೀವನ ಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಸರಣಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅರುಹಿದರು. ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿವಧ ಬಗೆಯ ಹಾವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕೇತರ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕ್ರಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಸ್ವಪ್ನ ಸತೀಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಿರಣ್ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಸ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಇಶ್ಚಿತಾರ್ಥ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರದ ಜನ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಎ. 9 ರಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಕಳೆದ ಹತ್ತು ವರುಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ತೈಲಗಳ ಬೆಲೆ ಇಳಿಕೆಯಾದರೂ, ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ದರ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ದರವನ್ನು ರೂಪಾಯಿ 50ಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಸಿ ದೇಶದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದಿರಿಸಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಿರುವ ” ಜನಾಕ್ರೋಶ “ಯಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಜನರ ಕ್ಷಮೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾಚಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಿಶನ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಕೊಳ್ಕೆಬೈಲ್ ನುಡಿದರು .
ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾದ , ಐದು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿಗಳ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರ , ರೈತರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹಾಲಿನ ದರ ಏರಿಸಿದರೆ ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟಿಸುವ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಪಕ್ಷ ತನ್ನ ರೈತ ವಿರೋಧ ನೀತಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಗರ ಯೋಜನಾ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ವಿನೋದ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟೋ ನುಡಿದರು.
ದೇಶದ ಜಿಡಿಪಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜಿಎಸ್‌ಟಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುದಾನ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೆಡಿಪಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ರಮೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ , ಯುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ವಿರಮಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಇಚ್ಚಿತಾರ್ಥ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ; ಅರೆಂಗ್ಜಾ ಮೆಂಡೋನ್ಸಾ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 588 ಅಂಕಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರಸಾಯನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಶತಕೋಟಿ ಅಂಕಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಗ್ರಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ 12 ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಲೀಶಾಲ್ ಡೈಲೀನ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಗಣಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಶತಕೋಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ 13 ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿ 587 ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಲಾ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ರಸ್ಥಾನಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಾ ರಿಯಾ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟು 590 ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋವಿಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ 8 ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ 3 ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಶೇ. 95.97 ರಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ತೀರ್ಣರಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 156 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು 389 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೇರ್ಗಡೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಉನ್ನತ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿವೆ.

Mangalore; Arengza Mendonca topped the Science Stream with a praiseworthy total of 588 marks and a centum in Chemistry. She secured the 12th Rank at the State Level.
From the Commerce Stream, Leeshal Daileen Fernandes has secured an impressive 587 marks including a centum in Basic Mathematics and 13th Rank at the State Level. The topper from the Arts Stream, Niriksha Ria Noronha has got an outstanding total of 590 marks and perfect scores in Economics & Psychology. She has made us proud by securing the 8th Rank at the State Level and 3rd Rank at the District Level.
The admirable accomplishments showcase not only individual diligence, but also the hard work of the teachers and the institution. The students have brought acclaim to the institution by securing an overall pass percentage of 95.97% with 156 students achieving distinctions and 389 securing First Class. 2025 ರ Wಊಔ ನ “ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಆರಂಭ, ಆಶಾದಾಯಕ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ” ಎಂಬ ಧ್ಯೇಯವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ, ಡಾ. ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಇಕ್ಬಾಲ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಮಿಯೋಪಥಿಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಹೋಮಿಯೋಪಥಿ ಔಷಧಿಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರವು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವುನೋವುಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

OBSERVANCE OF WORLD HEALTH DAY 2025 AND INAUGURATION OF THE HOMOEOPATHIC SAPTHAHA
Observanceof the World Health Day 2025 and Inauguration of Homoeopathic Sapthaha was conducted at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College on 07.04.2025 at 3:30pm in the College auditorium. The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr Mohammad Iqbal, District AYUSH Officer and the programme was presided by Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Designate Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) and Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital (FMHMCH) accompanied with other dignitaries on the dais including Dr Girish Navada U K, Medical Superintendent, FMHMCH and Dr Jenita Fernandes, Convener, World Homoeopathy Day 2025.
The programme commenced with prayer song by the students of FMHMC.
The Gathering was welcomed along with the introduction of the chief guest by Dr Girish Navada U K, Medical Superintendent, FMHMCH.
Following the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais, the inauguration of Homoeopathic Sapthaha (07.04.2025 to 12.04.2025 ) was symbolically conducted by the release of the flyers offering numerous concessions for the benefactors of FMHMCH like;

Dr Mohammed Iqbal in his message emphasized the scope of Homoeopathy in the mother and Child care following thew theme of WHO for 2025 “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures”. He also emphasised the role of Homoeopathy medicines, given as preventive medicine, was noteworthy specially in reducing the number of fatalities during the COVID Pandemic.
As a token of gratitude, Dr Iqbal was honoured with a memento by Rev Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo.
In his presidential address, Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo recalled the history of observation of World Health Day started by World Health Organization and explained the need for it, also stressing on taking care of the people who are malnourished and also spoke on importance of good health.

Talent award program for 405 achievers by Fhoodar Pratishatn
Fuddar Prathisttan (R.) organized ‘Fuddar Prathisttan Puraskar-2025’ for the toppers and achievers of Mangaluru and Udupi diocese on Sunday 6 April at Milagres Jubilee Hall Mangaluru.
As many as 405 catholic students excelled in SSLC, PUC, graduates, post graduation, various competitive examinations and in sports at International, national and state level were felicitated during the program.
Most Rev Fr Maxim L Noronha, Vicar General of Mangaluru diocese inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Nigel Pereira, President of Fuddar Prathisttan presided over the program. Prof John DSilva, Diocesan Parish Council Secretary, Managluru diocese was the Chief Guest. Guest of honour, Santhosh Cornelio, President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, Secretary Vivid DSouza, Joint Secretary Alwyn Quadros, directors Jerald DCosta, Anil Lobo and Harry Rego were present.
Fr Maxim L Noronha in his inaugural address congratulated all the awardees and their parents on receiving the recognition. He spoke about the importance of education at present times and motivated the students to raise voice against injustice to the community and in the society.
Prof John DSilva, chief guest of the program, congratulated the Fuddar Prathistan Trust for organizing a beautiful program to felicitate the achievers and for motivating them. In his keynote address he emphasized on the need of government officials from the Catholic community and encouraged the students to try answering various competitive examinations. He urged the students to stay in the country and serve our country and stay connected with their families.
Santhosh Cornelio in his speech said that, the education should help us develop value based society and not to lead us away from the spirituality and family life.
On behalf of the felicitated students Sohan Alva, Alston DSouza, Reshel Fernandes and Dr Anet DSouza shared their success story and expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the felicitation program.
As Fuddar Prathisttan (R.) completes 20 years of its existence, few programs were planned for the year. Inaugural of these programs was conducted in a unique way by pouring the incense into the charcoal. Nigel Pereira in his presidential address gave a glimpse of programs which will aim at social, economic and cultural well being of the Canara Konkani Catholics, as per the objectives of Fuddar Prathisttan. He applauded the students and their parents on receiving the honour. This time 405 students were being felicitated at a time. He expressed his words of gratitude to all the office bearers, trustees and the generous donors who contributed financially for this event, without which it was impossible to be a successful one.
Joint Secretary Alwyn Quadros welcomed the gathering. Vivid DSouza the Secretary rendered the vote of thanks. Our donors who supported generously for the success of the event were honoured with a memento. The support and suggestions of Vice President Rev Fr Walter DMello and Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh President Alwyn DSouza, who could not make it for the program, were greatly acknowledged. The Episcopal City Deanery gathered in a spirit of profound faith and joyful communion to solemnly inaugurate the Jubilee Year 2025, centered on the inspiring theme: “Pilgrims of Hope; Weapons of the Gospel.” This spiritually rich and culturally vibrant celebration commenced at 5:30 PM, and was gracefully compered by Fr. Antony George, who guided the program with clarity and warmth.
Opening Ceremony
The event began with a welcome dance by the talented students of St. Ann’s School, choreographed to a melodious Hindi hymn that encapsulated the themes of unity, peace, and divine grace.

Kalyanpur Milagres College – Workshop on “Empowering Commerce for the Future”
Kalyanpur Milagres College – From the Department of Commerc, in collaboration with the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, organized an orientation program on April 08, 2025. Mrs. Arpana Bhat, Lead Institutional Partnerships at Mentors for Kids Foundation (MKF), Bangalore, served as the resource person, delivering a session on “Empowering Commerce and Finance Students for the Future.”
The program commenced with a welcome address by Poonam N Poojary, a final-year (link unavailable) student. Mrs. Bhat then took over, emphasizing the importance of employability skills in job interviews and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. She highlighted essential technical and soft skills required to succeed in job interviews and introduced the benefits of partnering with Mentors for Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization.
Mrs. Bhat also informed students about the Learning Management System (LMS) courses, live sessions, and workshops offered by MKF at no cost. She encouraged BCA students to explore career opportunities in commerce and finance through certificate courses provided by MKF and announced a three-month internship program for students. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in the Q&A segment.
The program was attended by esteemed faculty members, including Mrs. Sophia Dias, Vice Principal; Dr. Jayaram Shettigar, Staff Secretary; Mr. Ganesh Nayak, Placement Officer; Mrs. Radhika Patkar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce; and Mr. Ravinandan Bhat, Public Relations Officer. The event provided valuable insights and opportunities for students to enhance their skills and career prospects.
