ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ಲೋಕದ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಗಾಯಕ, ಗೀತರಚನೆಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಯೋಜಕ ಕ್ಲೋಡ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ(67) ಅವರು ಜುಲೈ 24ರ ಸೋಮವಾರದಂದು ಅಲ್ಪಕಾಲದ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರು ಗಾಯನವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ಸುಮಾರು 61 ಸಂಗೀತ ‘ನೈಟ್ಸ್’ ಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪಡಿಸಿರುವ ಕ್ಲೋಡ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಗಾಯಕ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಗೀತರಚನೆಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾಗಿಯೂ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಡ್ರಮ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗಿಟಾರ್‌‌ನಂತಹ ಸಂಗೀತ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಸಿಯು ಅವರು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇನ್ನು ಕ್ಲೋಡ್ ಅವರು ಬರಹಗಾರ ಕೂಡ ಆಗಿದ್ದು 40 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ನಾಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮತ್ತು ನಟರಾಗಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕ್ಲೌಡ್ ಅವರು 15 ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಿಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇತರ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಆಲ್ಬಮ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ರಿದಮ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕ್ಲೋಡ್ ಅವರ ಧ್ವನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ನಾಟಕಗಳಿಗೆ ‘ಸಂದೇಶ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ’ ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ.ಈ ಬಹುಮುಖ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯ ಕಲಾವಿದನನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ಲೋಕ ಸಂತಾಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಜನನುಡಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಂತರಾಳದ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾಂಜಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
Famous Konkani singer Claude D’Souza stopped the song
Renowned Konkani music singer, lyricist and composer Claude D’Souza (67) passed away in Mangalore on Monday, July 24 after a brief illness. With this he has stopped singing.. Claude D’Souza, who has presented around 61 musical ‘nights’, has not only served as a singer but also as a lyricist and composer playing musical instruments like drums and guitar and has contributed to the Konkani music scene.
Claude is also a writer and has staged more than 40 Konkani plays. Accomplished as music director and actor. Claude has released 15 music CDs and served as a rhythm composer for other artists’ albums.
Claude has received several accolades and awards including the ‘Sandesh Award’ and the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award for his voice and religious dramas. The Konkani music world has mourned the loss of this multi-talented artiste.
