ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 13, 2024: ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 12 ರಂದು ಅವರ್ ಲೇಡಿ ಆಫ್ ಲೌರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಅತಿ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವ್ ಎಸ್‌ಜೆ ಅವರು ಹಬ್ಬದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್‌ನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ “ಆಶಯವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನಿರಾಶೆಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂಬ ಜ್ಯೂಬಿಲಿ ವರ್ಷದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಾವು ಭರವಸೆಯ ಯಾತ್ರಿಕರು. ಈ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗತ್ತು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಏನೆಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು; ನಿರಾಶ್ರಿತರು, ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗಳು, ದುರಂತಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವೃದ್ಧರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು. ಮಾನವೀಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ ಇದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ವಿಫಲಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಲೂರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಲೇಡಿ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವದ ನಂತರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ವರ್ಷವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತರಿಗೆ ಲೌರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಜೀವನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಲೌರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. 125 ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷಿಯನ್ನರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಘಟನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಹಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಫಾದರ್ ಮಿಲ್ಟನ್ ದಾನಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಿದರು. ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ ಮೇಣದಬತ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರ ಔದಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷನರ್‌ಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ, ಪಿಪಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಓವಿನ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಫೆ. 9 ರಂದು, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನ ವಿಕಾರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಮಾನ್ಸಿಗ್ನರ್ ವೆರಿ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. 11 ಮತ್ತು 12 ರಂದು, ಫಾದರ್ ನೆಲ್ಸನ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಒಸಿಡಿ ನೊವೆನಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದರು. 12 ರಂದು, ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ್ ಲೇಡಿ ಆಫ್ ಲೌರ್ಡ್ಸ್‌ನ ರಥ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಪುರೋಹಿತರು, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Annual festival of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Thirthahalli; Hope never disappoints us – Bishop Francis
Shivamogga, February 13, 2024: Annual Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes Church celebrated on February 12th at Tirthahalli. Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of the Diocese of Shimoga, was the main celebrant of the Feastal Holy Eucharist.
In his homily Bishop Francis stressed on theme of the Jubilee Year “Hope never disappoints us”. We are pilgrims of hope. He elaborated what the problem world is facing these days; refugees, suicides, tragedies and issues of elderly people. All this humanly speaking is disturbing us. But if we have hope in the Lord Jesus he never fails us. He,also sdid that As Our Lady of Lourdes Church celebrates post centenary silver jubilee year he thanked God and the faithful for witnessing Lord Jesus Christ through lives. 125 years is a great event for the parishioners ad well as fog the Diocese.
After Mass, Parish Priest Fr. Veeresh Victor Moras thanked the bishop, priests, religious, parishioners, and guests. Bishop Francis Serrao, S.J., unveiled the logo for the parish’s post-centennial silver jubilee. He also unveiled a photograph of the renovated church’s structure.
Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Milton read the donors’ names. Bishop Francis acknowledged their generosity by giving them blessed candles. Then, on behalf of the parishioners, Mr. Ovin D’Souza, secretary of the PPC, thanked everyone.
February 9th On the , Monsignor Very Reverend Father Stany D’Souza, Vicar General of the Diocese of Shimoga, began the feast with flag hoisting. On the 11th and 12th, Father Nelson Pinto OCD preached at the novena. On the 12th, there was a chariot procession of Our Lady of Lourdes in the main streets of Tirthahalli town. A large number of priests, religious, and faithful participated in the feast.
