ನಾಗಾಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಯುವಕರು ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಬೀಳ್ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಬಲಿದಾನ ನಡೆಸಿ ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಆಡ್ರಿಯನ್ ಹಿಂಗ್ ಕಿ ಅವರ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸಮ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿತು. ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಪೂರ್ವಕ ಹೃದಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬೀಳ್ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು.

ಅಕುಲುಟೊದ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಕ್ಲೇರ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗಾಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ನಿರ್ಗಮಿತ ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಯುವ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಬೆಚ್ಚಗಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾಪೂರ್ವಕ ವಿದಾಯವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 11:30 ಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು 2025 ಮೇ 25 ರಂದು ಸೇಂಟ್ ಕ್ಲೇರ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ನಿರ್ಗಮಿತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ಬರ್ನಾಡೆಟ್, ಚುಂಚುನ್, ಏಂಜೆಲಾ, ಕಾಲಿನ್ ಮೇರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಪಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಯುವ ಗುಂಪಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ, ಬೆಂಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಭೆಯು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ಮಿಶ್ರಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿದಾಗ, ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬ ಮತ್ತು ಆರಾಧನೆಯ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದರು. ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯು ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಗಳು, ಗಂಭೀರ ವಾಚನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.
ಅವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, “ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರೆ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವಿರಿ” (ಯೋಹಾನ 14:15) ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಫಾ। ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಗ್ರಂಥದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡು, ಯುವಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಧೇಯತೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಧ್ಯೇಯದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಸಂದೇಶವು ಹೊರಹೋಗುವ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿದಾಯ ಶುಲ್ಕವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಆದೇಶವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿತು.
ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ
ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪೂಜೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕ್ಯಾಥೋಲಿಕ್ ಯುವಕರ ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು, ಅವರ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಭಗವಂತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ಯುವ ನಾಯಕರು, ನಮ್ರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾ, ಹೊರಹೋಗುವ ತಂಡ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶಾಲ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದಿಂದ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ನಿಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯು ಗುಂಪಿಗೆ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ಆರಂಭವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿತು, ಅವರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ನಾಯಕತ್ವವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಏಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಸೇವೆ, ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಕರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು – ಕೇವಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲು ಅಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಕರೆ.
ಸಂತೋಷದಾಯಕ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸಮ್: ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುವುದು
ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವುದು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಗುವಿನ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸಮ್. ಶ್ರೀ ಪೀಟರ್ ಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಥೆರೆಸಾ ಕಿ ಅವರ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಮಾಸ್ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟೈಜ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಆಡ್ರಿಯನ್ ಹಿಂಗ್ ಕಿ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸಮ್‌ನ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸುರಿದು ಆಡ್ರಿಯನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು, ಇದು ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಆರಂಭವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ತಮ್ಮ ಮಗುವನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದಾಗ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಕಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಫಾದರ್ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಕೃಪೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ದ್ವಾರವಾಗಿ ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸಮ್‌ನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪೋಷಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಷಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಾಗಿರಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಬ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಿಸಮ್ ದಿನದ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಅರ್ಥ ಮತ್ತು ನವೀಕರಣದ ಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ತಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಕಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸರ್ ಪೀಟರ್ ಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ ಆಲ್ಬರ್ಟ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ನಾಯಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರು ಹೊರಹೋಗುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಲು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಬರ್ನಾಡೆಟ್, ಚುಂಚುನ್, ಏಂಜೆಲಾ, ಕಾಲಿನ್ ಮೇರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಪಿ ಅವರು ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿದವು.
“ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು” ಎಂದು ಸರ್ ಆಲ್ಬರ್ಟ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. “ನೀವು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ.”

A warm and prayerful farewell to the outgoing Catholic youth members of Nagaland University
The Catholic youth of Nagaland University offered a farewell sacrifice to the elders, welcomed the new executive members and celebrated the baptism of Adrian Hing Ki. The holy farewell ceremony was celebrated with grateful hearts.
A Sacred Send-off with Grateful Hearts
A warm and prayerful farewell was extended to the outgoing Catholic youth members of Nagaland University in a heartfelt celebration held at St. Clare Church, Akuluto. The Eucharistic celebration began at 11:30 a.m. and was presided over by Fr. Stephen D’Souza, Parish Priest of St. Clare Church on 25th May 2025. The outgoing students — Barnadette, Chunchun, Angela, Colin Mary, and Avupi — were honored for their dedication, support, and spiritual contributions during their time with the youth group.
As the congregation gathered with a blend of gratitude and anticipation, Fr. Stephen led the community into a time of reflection and worship. The liturgy began with joyful hymns, solemn readings, and a powerful homily that resonated with all present.
In his homily, Fr. Stephen preached on the theme: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Drawing from this scripture, he encouraged the youth to live out their faith in action, especially in moments of transition. He highlighted the importance of obedience, love, and mission as key elements in the Christian journey. His message served both as a farewell charge to the outgoing members and a spiritual mandate to the newly appointed leaders.
Installation of New Executive Members
In a significant moment during the Mass, the new executive members of the Catholic youth were introduced and prayed over. Fr. Stephen blessed them, asking the Lord to guide them in their responsibilities and service to the community.
The newly appointed members include:
• President: Mr. David
• Liturgy Secretary: Ms. Catherine
• Assistant Liturgy Secretary: Ms. Hanrita Lucy
• Music Secretary: Mr. Effort
• Assistant Music Secretary: Ms. Grace
These young leaders, stepping forward in humility and readiness, received encouragement from both the outgoing team and the wider church community. The prayer of commissioning marked a sacred moment of transition and new beginnings for the group, anchoring their future leadership in faith and unity.
Fr. Stephen reminded the youth that leadership in the Church is a vocation of service, sacrifice, and love — a call not just to organize events, but to shepherd souls and foster growth in Christ.
A Joyous Baptism: Welcoming a New Life in Christ
Adding to the joy of the celebration was the baptism of a young child. Mr. Peter Ki and Mrs. Theresa Ki’s son was baptized during the Mass and given the name Adrian Hing Ki. The sacrament was performed by Fr. Stephen, who poured the waters of baptism and anointed Adrian, marking the beginning of his journey in the Christian faith.
The community rejoiced with the Ki family as they dedicated their child to God. In his remarks, Fr. Stephen emphasized the significance of baptism as the gateway to the life of grace and community. He encouraged the parents to nurture their child in the values of the Gospel and remain steadfast in their own witness of faith.
The joy of the Ki family was shared by all present, as the baptism brought a moment of deep spiritual meaning and renewal to the day’s celebration.
Gratitude, Fellowship, and Reflections
Following the Mass, a short thanksgiving program was held. Leaders and elders from the community, including Sir Peter Ki and Sir Albert, came forward to express their heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing students. Their words honored the dedication and spiritual guidance offered by Barnadette, Chunchun, Angela, Colin Mary, and Avupi during their time in leadership.
“We thank you for your presence, your work, and most of all, your hearts,” said Sir Albert. “You have not only organized activities but have helped many of us grow deeper in faith.”
The gathering concluded with refreshments and informal fellowship, allowing the youth and elders to connect, share stories, and bless one another with memories and hopes for the future.
As the community of Nagaland University Catholic Youth looks ahead with new leadership, the farewell event stood as a testament to a thriving, faith-filled youth movement — one rooted in service, inspired by love, and led by the Spirit.
