ಆ. 18: ಇಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಂಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಸಜ್ಜಿತ ದಾಳಿಕೋರರು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಗುಂಡಿನ ದಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವರು ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಮಣಿಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಮಣಿಪುರ ಈಗಲೂ ಬೂದಿ ಮುಚ್ಚದ ಕೆಂಡದಂತಿದ್ದು, ಇಂದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರ ಭುಗಿಲೆದ್ದಿದೆಯೆಂದು ವಾರ್ತಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಿವೆ
ಮಣಿಪುರದ ಉಖ್ರುಲ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತೊವೈ ಕುಕಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಂಡಿನ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ದಾಳಿಯ ನಂತರ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಮೂರು ಮೃತದೇಹಗಳನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೃತರನ್ನು ಜಮ್‌ಖೋಗಿನ್ ಹಕಿಪ್ (26), ತಂಗ್‌ಖೋಕೈ ಹಕಿಪ್ (35) ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಲೆನ್ಸನ್ ಬೈಟ್ (24) ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜನಾಂಗೀಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಕೆಲವು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಸಜ್ಜಿತ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳು ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕಾವಲು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಈ ಮೂವರಿಗೆ ಗುಂಡು ಹಾರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ
ಮೇ 3ರಿಂದ ಮಣಿಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಘರ್ಷಣೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇವೆ. ಇದುವರೆಗೂ 120 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು. ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರ ಘಟನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 3 ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಣಿಪುರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಜ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಮರಳಲು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪೊಲೀಸರೊಂದಿಗೆ 40,000 ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಭದ್ರತಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
Violence broke out again in Manipur killing three
Ag.18: An incident took place in Manipur in which three people were killed in a firing attack by armed assailants in the wee hours of today. News agencies report that Manipur is still like an open pit and violence has broken out again today.
The firing took place in Towai Kuki village of Manipur’s Ukhrul district in the early hours of Friday. Villagers found three dead bodies after the attack. The deceased have been identified as Jamkhogin Hakip (26), Thangkhokai Hakip (35) and Hollenson Bait (24). This incident is related to the ongoing ethnic issue in the state and it is learned that some armed miscreants entered the village and shot the three men who were guarding the village.
Clashes have been going on in Manipur since May 3. It is estimated that more than 120 people have died so far. More than 3,000 people were injured in the incidents of violence. It is said that 40,000 central security personnel along with local police have been deployed to control the violence and restore normalcy in the state of Manipur.
