ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 22: ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಡಾ. ಪಿ.ಎಲ್. ಧರ್ಮ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ತಂಡ – ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ರಾಜ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ. ಜಯರಾಜ್ ಅಮೀನ್, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಣಚೂರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ‘ಸಿಪಿಆರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಕಣಚೂರು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಡಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಮೋನಿಸ್ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು; ಕಿಮ್ಸ್‌ನ ತುರ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಡಾ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ (ಜೆಆರ್ III) ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಉಬೆದುಲ್ಲಾ (ಜೆಆರ್ I) ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಡಾ. ಜಯರಾಜ್ ಅಮೀನ್, ಕಣಚೂರು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ತಮ್ಮ ಪದವೀಧರರಿಗೆ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಂಡ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಸುಧಾರಿಸುವ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪದವೀಧರರನ್ನು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ತಂಡದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಡಾ. ರೋಹನ್ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು; ಭಾರತದ ತುರ್ತು ಸಹಾಯವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 112 ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಿದರು. ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಮೂಲಭೂತ ವಿಷಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಜ್ಜಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆಯೇ? ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಲಿಂಗ ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಗಡಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಡಾ. ಪಿ.ಎಲ್. ಧರ್ಮ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಡಾ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಉಬೆದುಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿಪಿಆರ್ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೀತಿಬೋಧಕ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಪದವೀಧರರು ರೋಮಾಂಚನಗೊಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

KANACHUR empowers the graduates of MANGALORE UNIVERSITY with CPR & First Aid skills.
Mangalore, 22nd April : In a first of its kind skill empowerment program at Mangalore University, the leadership team lead by Dr PL Dharma – Hon’ble VC, Mangalore University & Dr Jayaraj Amin – Hon’ble Chairman, Dept of Political Science, Mangalore University inaugurated a ‘CPR & FIRST AID’ program, in association with Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Natekal, Mangaluru. Dr. Rohan Monis – Cheif Administrative Officer, Kanachur Hospital & Research Centre was the Guest of Honor; Dr Srinivas (JR III) & Dr Ubedulla (JR I) from Dept of Emergency Medicine, KIMS were the resource persons.
In his welcome address, Dr Jayaraj Amin expressed his gratefulness to Kanachur Institute for bringing together a team & a program for empowering their graduates with a community based essential skill. Dr Rohan lauded the efforts of the leadership team of Mangalore University for taking this leap into empowering the graduates with a life saving skill that will improve social well-being; also educating them that India’s Emergency Helpline no is 112. Dr PL Dharma expressed that emergencies happen everywhere but are we equipped with the basics? encouraging the students to do more and be more with no gender and religious boundaries, in their minds.
Dr Srinivas & Dr Ubedulla did a didactic session with hands on demonstration of CPR skills. The graduates were thrilled and feedback was great.
