ಮಂಗಳೂರು,ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 2, 2025 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ® ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪುರುಷರ ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಬ್ಯಾಡ್ಮಿಂಟನ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಭವಿ ಜೋಡಿ ಗ್ಲಾನಿಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಯ್ಡೆನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಆರುಷ್ – ಮೋಹಿತ್ ಜೋಡಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಗೆದ್ದುಕೊಂಡರು
ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಬ್ಯಾಡ್ಮಿಂಟನ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ವಯೋಮಾನದ 110 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತಂಡಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಿಭಜಿತ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಬ್ಬದ ವಾತಾವರಣವಿತ್ತು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಐ.ಟಿ.ಐ. ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಜಾನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಎಸ್.ಜೆ., ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರತ್ವದ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಲು ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
ಆಟಗಾರರ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಡಿ’ಸಿಲ್ವಾ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸವಾಲುಗಳಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾವು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
CODP ಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೆವರೆಂಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಕುಟಿನ್ಹಾ ವಿಜೇತರಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ಸ್ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ವಿಜೇತ ಹಿರಿಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟು ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಗ್ಲಾನಿಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಟ್ರಿವಿಯಾ ವೀಗಾಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾಡ್ಮಿಂಟನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆಗಾಗಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
Aarush – Mohit pair won the award in the badminton tournament organized by the Christian Sports Association at Father Muller Indoor Stadium
Mangaluru, February 2, 2025: Aarush – Mohit pair defeated veteran duo Glanish and Royden to win the men’s open category badminton tournament organized by the Christian Sports Association®, Mangaluru
It was a festive atmosphere for the Christian community of the undivided Mangalore
diocese as more than 110 teams in different age groups participated in the fourth edition of the badminton tournament organised by the association.
In his inaugural address Rev Fr John Dsouza, SJ, Director of St Aloysius I.T.I. appreciated the efforts of the association in providing a platform to the community members to come together with a spirit of comraidery and brotherhood.
Praising the players for their hard work, dedication and sportsmanship the chief guest and one of the main sponsors of the event and a noted entrepreneur Mr Joseph D’Silva said that there are always challenges in every field and we must face them with courage and confidence to be successful.
Rev Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, the assistant Director, CODP gave away the prizes to the winners. Veteran sportsman Mr Michael Dsouza, the gold medal winner in masters athletics, and Mr Glanish Pinto of Udupi and Ms Trivia Veigas of Mangalore were felicitated for their achievement in badminton at the occasion.
