“BeyondtheFinishLine: 10YearsofInspirationandTriumphattheAnnualAthleticMeet”

On September 6, 2024, under the brilliant light of St Joseph’s School CBSE, our Annual Athletic Meet took place with a grandeur appropriate for the institution’s centenary year. It was a colourful display of young excitement and competitive spirit. This year, we had the honour of having Sucheta Deb Burman, the founder and secretary of the Open Water Swimmers’ Foundation, as well as one of our own alumni, a Josephite, as our chief guest. She is a Bengaluru-born, highly skilled ultra-marathon swimmer.

She is the only woman from Karnataka to have finished the 76th World’s Longest Open Water Swim at the West Bengali Murshidabad Swimming Association. She recently added yet another incredible accomplishment to her resume when she became the first Indian woman to break the world record for swimming the Palk Strait in both directions. Her incredible display of tenacity and resolve was the day’s motivating high point. Her presence gave our day a huge dose of motivation.

An emotional and meaningful opening ceremony kicked off the meet. A sombre prayer was spoken, and then white pigeons were released into the skies, carrying with them our hopes and dreams for a day full of happiness and success.

We mixed different drills with race events. The Pre-KG students had a beautiful drill performance first, painting the air with a sense of amazement and creating a happy tone for the day with their coordinated dances centred around “Nature.” The LKG Foot Ball Drill, the UKG Rainbow Drill, the Karate Display, the Galaxy Drill by classes 1 and 2, Colour Fest by classes 3 and 4, Beat Parade by classes 4 and 5, Kamisen Drill by classes 5 and 6, and the Colourful Wings by classes 6 and 7 were the drills that came after. We also held a game for parents and Inter Jesuit 400-meter and 4×100-meter relays for girls and boys.

The meet concluded with a thunderous grand finale that perfectly captured the spirit of celebration and accomplishment of the centenary years. The Annual Athletic Meet 2024 was an incredible exhibition of skill, collaboration, and competitive spirit. The Athletic Meet was a symphony of athletic ability, inventiveness, and school spirit rather than just a collectionofcompetitions.
Sucheta gave insightful advice in her motivational speech, reassuring us that we are never alone in life’s struggles. She emphasised that, just as patience is vital in the world of athletics, God gives us the information, abilities, and attitudes needed to navigate and conquer challenges. Her remarks struck a deep chord with me, reaffirming the conviction that every obstacle can be turned into a chance for development and achievement if one has the correct attitude.
Our students’ enthusiastic involvement and lively participation turned the meet into a celebration of excellence and community.

“ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ದಿ ಫಿನಿಶ್ ಲೈನ್: 10 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜಯೋತ್ಸವ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ ಮೀಟ್”

ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 6, 2024 ರಂದು, ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಶಾಲೆಯ CBSE ಯ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ ಮೀಟ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ವೈಭವದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಇದು ಯುವ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ವರ್ಷ, ಓಪನ್ ವಾಟರ್ ಸ್ವಿಮ್ಮರ್ಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್‌ನ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಸುಚೇತಾ ದೇಬ್ ಬರ್ಮನ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮದೇ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ, ಜೋಸೆಫೈಟ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದ ಗೌರವ ನಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. ಆಕೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ, ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನುರಿತ ಅಲ್ಟ್ರಾ-ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ಈಜುಗಾರ್ತಿ.

ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳದ ಮುರ್ಷಿದಾಬಾದ್ ಈಜು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 76ನೇ ವಿಶ್ವದ ಅತಿ ಉದ್ದದ ಓಪನ್ ವಾಟರ್ ಈಜು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಏಕೈಕ ಮಹಿಳೆ. ಪಾಕ್ ಜಲಸಂಧಿಯನ್ನು ಎರಡೂ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜಲು ವಿಶ್ವ ದಾಖಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿದ ಮೊದಲ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾದಾಗ ಅವರು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪುನರಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಆಕೆಯ ದೃಢತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ದಿನದ ಪ್ರೇರಕ ಉನ್ನತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವಳ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಿತು.

ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಂದಿ ಹಾಡಿತು. ಒಂದು ದುಃಖಕರವಾದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಲಾಯಿತು, ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರ ಬಿಳಿ ಪಾರಿವಾಳಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು, ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಭರವಸೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ಯಲಾಯಿತು.

ನಾವು ರೇಸ್ ಈವೆಂಟ್‌ಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಡ್ರಿಲ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆರೆಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಪ್ರೀ-ಕೆಜಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮೊದಲು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಡ್ರಿಲ್ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು, ಬೆರಗುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಭಾವದಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು “ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ” ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಅವರ ಸಂಘಟಿತ ನೃತ್ಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದರು. LKG ಫುಟ್ ಬಾಲ್ ಡ್ರಿಲ್, UKG ರೇನ್ಬೋ ಡ್ರಿಲ್, ಕರಾಟೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ, 1 ಮತ್ತು 2 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಗ್ಯಾಲಕ್ಸಿ ಡ್ರಿಲ್, 3 ಮತ್ತು 4 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕಲರ್ ಫೆಸ್ಟ್, 4 ಮತ್ತು 5 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಬೀಟ್ ಪರೇಡ್, 5 ಮತ್ತು 6 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕಮಿಸೆನ್ ಡ್ರಿಲ್, ಮತ್ತು 6 ಮತ್ತು 7 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಗಳ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳು ನಂತರ ಬಂದ ಡ್ರಿಲ್ಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ನಾವು ಪೋಷಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಟ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಟರ್ ಜೆಸ್ಯೂಟ್ 400-ಮೀಟರ್ ಮತ್ತು 4×100-ಮೀಟರ್ ರಿಲೇಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಗಿಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಹುಡುಗರಿಗಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವದ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಆಚರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಘರ್ಷಣೆಯ ಗ್ರಾಂಡ್ ಫಿನಾಲೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಭೆಯು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ ಮೀಟ್ 2024 ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ, ಸಹಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ ಮೀಟ್ ಕೇವಲ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲಾ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ಸ್ವರಮೇಳವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಸುಚೇತಾ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೇರಕ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಸಲಹೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ಜೀವನದ ಹೋರಾಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಒಂಟಿಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಮಗೆ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅಥ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯು ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ, ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾವಿಗೇಟ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ಜಯಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ, ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವರ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆಕೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾದ ಸ್ವರಮೇಳವನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದವು, ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಅಡೆತಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಅವಕಾಶವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸಿತು.
ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದ ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಆಚರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿತು.

ಕಾಪು ; 06.09.2024 ರಂದು ಭಾದ್ರಪದ ಶುಕ್ಲದ ಚೌತಿಯಂದು ದೇಶದ ಜನತೆ ಐಕ್ಯತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸುವ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣೇಶಚತುರ್ಥಿಯೂಒಂದು. ಈ ಸುಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿರೂಪದ ಮೂಲ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಚಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಹರಸಿನಯುಕ್ತ ಗಣಪನ ಮರಳಾಕೃತಿಯು ಕಾಪು ಕಡಲ ಕಿನಾರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಾವಿದ ಹರೀಶ್ ಸಾಗಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ಮೂಡಿಬಂತ್ತು. ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನತೆಗೆ ಶುಭಾಷಯದ ಹಾರೈಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಜನಜಾಗೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ “ಗಜಾನನಂ” ಮರಳು ಶಿಲ್ಪದ ರಚನೆ ‘ಸ್ಯಾಂಡ್‍ಥೀಂ’ ಉಡುಪಿ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಭಟ್‍ ಹಾಲಾಡಿ, ಉಜ್ವಲ್‍ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಮರಳು ಶಿಲ್ಪ ಜನಾಕಾರ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಯ್ತು.

“ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್, ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡರೂ, ಆಯಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಬರಬಹುದು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಹಂತದಿಂದಲೇ ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರಬೇಕು ‘ ಎಂದು ಆರ್. ಎನ್. ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ‌ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ನವೀನ ಕುಮಾರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ‌ ಪ್ರೀತೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯೂ, ಅವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ‌‌ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಡಾ. ಸರ್ವಪಲ್ಲಿ‌ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ಹಲವು ಆಟಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಪಿ.ಯು.ಸಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಭುವನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.

ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಹರಿಹರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 5, 2024: ಅವರ್ ಲೇಡಿ ಆಫ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್, ಮೈನರ್ ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾ, ಹರಿಹರ, ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳನೇ ದಿನದ ನೊವೆನಾವು ಸಂಜೆ 5:30 ಕ್ಕೆ “ದರ್ಶನ ದೇಗುಲ” ದಲ್ಲಿ ಲೀಜನ್ ಆಫ್ ಮೇರಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಸರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ) ನಂತರ ಫಾದರ್ ರಿಚರ್ಡ್ ಮಸ್ಕರೇನಸ್ ಎಸ್ ಜೆ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊವೆನಾ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಬೆಸಿಲಿಕಾ ರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಅರ್ಚಕ ರೆ.ಫಾ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಕೆ.ಎ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಹರ ಮಠಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪ ನಮನ.

ಸಂಜೆ 6:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಅವರ್ ಲೇಡಿ ಆಫ್ ಲೂರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ.ವೀರೇಶ್ ಮೊರಾಸ್ ಹರಿಹರ ಮಠದ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. “ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಮಾದರಿ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರವಚನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು.

ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರವಚನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿ ಮೇರಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾದರಿ. ಯೇಸುವಿನ ತಾಯಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ ಪಾತ್ರ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರಶಂಸಾರ್ಹ. ಆಕೆಗೆ ದೇವರ ಯೋಜನೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅವಳು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಳು ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಅವಳ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಭಾವಿಸಿತು.

Seventh day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica, Harihara

Davanagere, Harihara, September 5, 2024: Seventh day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere District, Diocese of Shimoga, began with Rosary led by Legion of Mary at 5:30pm at “Darshana Degula” (Apparition place). Then the Novena led by Fr Richard Mascarenhas SJ. Floral homages to Harihara Matha led by Basilica Rector & Parish Priest Rev. Fr George K. A. 

At 6:00pm Rev. Fr Veeresh Moras, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Tirthahalli, hoisted the flag of Harihar Matha. Then he offered the Holy Eucharist. He preached his homily on the theme: “Mother Mary is role model for the Teachers”.

In his homily he explained the role of teachers in educating the Children. Mother Mary is the perfect role model in guiding the Children. The role she played as Mother of Jesus is really praise worthy. She knew the plan of God. She walked in faith and never compromised values in life. Her prayer life and faith influenced many around her.

Rev. Fr George K A, Rev. Fr and Rev. Fr Richard Mascarenhas SJ concelebrated the Holy Eucharist.

After the Mass Rev. Fr Mathew CMF led the benediction and priests prayed over the pilgrims.

ಸಾಗರದ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷಿಯನ್ನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಅರ್ಚಕರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದರು. ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯೂಕರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಅನ್ನು Msgr ಫೆಲಿಕ್ಸ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಬಿಷಪ್‌ ಡಾ.ಪೀಟರ್‌ ಮಚಾಡೊ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಬಿಷಪ್‌ ವಂದನೀಯ ಡಾ. ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್‌ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್‌.ಜೆ. ಕಾರವಾರದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು.

ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೋ ಎಸ್.ಜೆ ಪ್ರವಚನ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾದ್ರಿಯ ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದ ಪಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಜೀಸಸ್ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕುರುಬನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾವು ನೀಡಿದ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಮಾಸ್ ನಂತರ, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ Msgr ಫೆಲಿಕ್ಸ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷಿಯನ್ನರು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದರು. ಜುಬಿಲಿ ಕಮಿಟಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಜಾಯ್ ಜೋಲ್ಸನ್ ಅಂದ್ರಾಡೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆರ್ಚ್‌ಬಿಷಪ್ ಪೀಟರ್ ಮಚಾಡೊ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಷಪ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ ಎಸ್‌ಜೆ ಅವರು Msgr ಫೆಲಿಕ್ಸ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವಾಗ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು.

Msgr ಫೆಲಿಕ್ಸ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು 4 ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 1950 ರಂದು ಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು 4 ನೇ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 1974 ರಂದು ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡರು. ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14, 1988 ರಂದು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾದಾಗ ಅವರು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಡಯಾಸಿಸ್ನ ಅರ್ಚಕರಾದರು.

ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಚೆನ್ನೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಗೀತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದರು. ಸಂಗೀತಗಾರರಾಗಿ, ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾಗಿ, ಗಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗೀತರಚನೆಕಾರರಾಗಿ, ಅವರು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ ಭಕ್ತಿಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಸೇವೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅವರು ಎಕ್ಲೆಸ್ಟಿಕಲ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಖಾತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವುಗಳೆಂದರೆ; ಸೆನೆಟರ್, ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಫ್ ಕನ್ಸಲ್ಟರ್, ವಿಕಾರ್ ಫೊರೇನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ವಿಕಾರ್ ಜನರಲ್.

ಪಾದ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್, ಮೂಡಿಗೆರೆಯ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಅಂತೋನಿ ಚರ್ಚ್, ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ದಿ ವರ್ಕರ್ ಚರ್ಚ್, ಪೇಪರ್ ಟೌನ್ – ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ, ಇನ್ಫೆಂಟ್ ಜೀಸಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್, ಶರಾವತಿನಗರ – ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಸೇಕ್ರೆಡ್ ಹಾರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಯಾಥೆಡ್ರಲ್ – ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಸೇಂಟ್. ಸೆಬಾಸ್ಟಿಯನ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ – ಸೊರಬ, ಅವರ್ ಲೇಡಿ ಆಫ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ದೇಗುಲ – ಹರಿಹರ, ಗುಡ್ ಶೆಫರ್ಡ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ – ಗೋಪಾಲ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಅವರು ಸೇಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಚರ್ಚ್- ಸಾಗರದ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಅರ್ಚಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Monsignor Felix Joseph Noronha celebrated his Golden Sacerdotal Jubilee at Sagar, Shivamogga

Shivamogga, September 7, 2024: Monsignor Felix Joseph Noronha, Vicar General of the Diocese of Shimoga as well as the Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Church, Sagara, celebrated his Sacerdotal Golden Jubilee on September 4th at Sagara.

Parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church, Sagara organised Felicitation ceremony for their loving Parish Priest. Thanks giving Holy Eucharist was celebrated at 10am by Msgr Felix Joseph Noronha. Most Rev. Dr Peter Machado, Archbishop of Archdiocese of Bangalore, Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga, Most Rev. Dr Derek Fernandes, Bishop of Diocese of Belgaum, Most Rev. Dr Duming Dias, Bishop of Diocese of Karwar and Priests from Diocese of Shimoga and other Dioceses concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. 

Bishop Francis Serrao SJ preached the homily. He narrated in his homily role of a Pastor in the given context. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who leads us and we in tern go ahead courageously in serving him our given mission. 

After the Mass, Parishioners organised Felicitation ceremony for Msgr Felix Joseph Noronha in the Parish Hall. Assistant Parish Priest Fr Joy Jolsan Andrade together with the Jubilee committee organised the programme. Archbishop Peter Machado and Bishop Francis Serrao SJ spoke felicitatory words as they honoured Msgr Felix Joseph Noronha. Parishioners as well family members too honoured him.

Msgr Felix Joseph Noronha was born on 4th March 1950 at Sagar. He was ordained as Priest for the Diocese of Chikmagalur on 4th September 1974. When Diocese of Shimoga was erected on November 14,1988 he became the Priest of Diocese of Shimoga. 

He served the Chikmagalur as well as Shimoga Diocese in various capacities. When he was in Chikmagalur he did his Masters Degree at Chennai in Karnatic Music. Ever since as a musician, Composer, Singer and Lyric Writer, he has composed innumerable Christian Devotional Hymns, they are used in the liturgical services all over Karnataka. 

He has held important portfolios in Ecclestical arena. Namely; Senator, College of Consultor, Vicar Forane and presently Vicar General of the Diocese of Shimoga. 

Being a priest he rendered his services in St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Chikmagalur, St. Anthony’s Church, Mudigere, St. Joseph The Worker Church, Paper Town – Bhadravati, Infant Jesus Church, Sharavathinagar – Shivamogga,  Sacred Heart Cathedral – Shivamogga, St. Sebastian’s Church – Soraba, Our Lady of Health Shrine – Harihara, Good Shepherd Church – Gopala, Shivamogga and at present he is the Parish Priest of St.  Joseph’s Church- Sagara.

ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಅಂದರೆ 2024-25 ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸತತ ಮೂರನೇ ಬಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಚಿನ್ ಕರ್ಕಡ ಅವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತರೆ. ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭ ಕೊರುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಇಡುವ ಮೊತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ 9.50% ಮತ್ತು 3 ವರ್ಷ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ 10.00% ಬಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಇಡುವ ಮೊತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ 10.00% ಮತ್ತು 3 ವರ್ಷ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ 10.50% ಬಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಇದು ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಹಾಗೆ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಆವರ್ತನ ಠೇವಣಿ (ಆರ್ ಡಿ) 20 ತಿಂಗಳಿಂದ 120 ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಳಿತಾಯ ಮಾಡುವರಿಗೆ 8.50 % ರಿಂದ 12% ಉತ್ತಮ ಬಡ್ಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಹೇಳಲು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

For New Customers if we they deposit Rs. 5000 & more for a year it is 9.5% and if it is more than 3 years & above it is 10.00% as well as it is changed for senior customers it is 10% and for more than 3 years & above it is 10.50%.  Please note that for existing customers there will be no changes in fixed deposits.

We have also savings plan like recurring deposit & amount is Rs.1000 & above you can select tenure how many months you want to invest with us i.e 20 months – 120 months varies from 8.50% to 12%.
