Senior citizens (Elders) Day was celebrated at Bajjodi Parish on Sunday, on October 15th in the morning. Around 130 senior citizens from the parish participated in the celebration.

In the morning at 10.30 am was the concelebrated mass in the church. During the homily Fr. Dominic Vas, the Parish Priest, Shared how the Elders have to take positively the retirement years. He gave some useful points how the senior citizens have to keep themselves vibrant, positive and happy. As the famous writer Mark Twain said “ Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter”.

                   Our destiny is in our hand. No one can make us happy. It depends on me to keep myself happy and vibrant. Hence, never one should think that I am aged or sick; occupy your time in reading , T.V, mobile , hobbies, cooking , gardening and Travelling to new places. Join some parish associations and involve yourself in a few charitable and beneficial works. Have good friends and neighbours to share yourself. Smile and be happy and positive. Have regular daily walk and watch over your diet and health.

               After the Holy Eucharist all the senior citizens gathered in the church hall for a short cultural programme. After the prayer song sung by Cliyon D’silva, Mrs. Hilda D’cunha welcomed the guests and all senior citizens. Together with the Parish priest, Fr. Ivan Dsouza the former Parish Priest , Fr. Cyril Menezes, Fr. Rayan Pinto, Sr.Lidwin,OSS , Prakash Saldhanha, the PPC Vice president , Elizabeth Pereira secretary, Ronald Goveas, Ayog Sanchalak lighted the lamp and Inaugurated the programme.

                         A few children entertained the audience with a colourful dance, and Fr. Dominic Vas at the end of his message sang a beautiful song recounting the childhood memories which was composed by Wilfy Rebimbus . The women’s commission members staged a beautiful dance and entertained the audience followed by a comedy skit performed by Sachin Menezes and Santhosh Veigas. A few games for the elders were conducted by Ms. Jewel Fernandes

                All the senior citizens were presented with a gift. At the end Mr. Prakash Saldhana thanked every one. Finally, all were served with a sumptuous meal sponsored by Santhosh Caterers in memory of Late Augustine Veigas. The whole programme was compered by Sharel Noronha.

ಬಜ್ಜೋಡಿ ಧರ್ಮಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ

ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ (ಹಿರಿಯರ) ದಿನವನ್ನು ಬಜ್ಜೋಡಿ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾನುವಾರ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 15 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪರಿಷೆಯ ಸುಮಾರು 130 ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 10.30ಕ್ಕೆ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಪೂಜೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಾ. ಡೊಮಿನಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್, ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಅರ್ಚಕರು, ಹಿರಿಯರು ನಿವೃತ್ತಿಯ ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಧನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕರಾಗಿ, ಧನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೆಲವು ಉಪಯುಕ್ತ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಬರಹಗಾರ ಮಾರ್ಕ್ ಟ್ವೈನ್ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ “ವಯಸ್ಸು ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅದು ಅಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ”

ನಮ್ಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸಲು ಯಾರಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವಲಂಬಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ, ನನಗೆ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಿದೆ ಅಥವಾ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಭಾವಿಸಬಾರದು; ಓದುವಿಕೆ, ಟಿವಿ, ಮೊಬೈಲ್, ಹವ್ಯಾಸಗಳು, ಅಡುಗೆ, ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಸಂಘಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಲವು ದತ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಕಾರಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಮತ್ತು ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರಿ. ಕಿರುನಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಧನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿರಿ. ನಿಯಮಿತ ದೈನಂದಿನ ನಡಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ.

            ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ಕ್ಲಿಯೋನ್ ಡಿಸಿಲ್ವಾ ಅವರು ಹಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಗೀತೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹಿಲ್ಡಾ ಡಿಕುನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪಾದ್ರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಫಾ. ಐವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮಾಜಿ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪ್ರೀಸ್ಟ್, ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಮೆನೆಜಸ್, ಫಾ. ರಾಯನ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ, ಸರ್.ಲಿಡ್ವಿನ್, ಓಎಸ್ಎಸ್, ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಸಲ್ಧಾನ್ಹ, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಎಲಿಜಬೆತ್ ಪಿರೇರಾ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೊನಾಲ್ಡ್ ಗೋವಿಸ್, ಆಯೋಗ್ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ್ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.

                      ಕೆಲವು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ನೃತ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ರಂಜಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಫಾ. ಡೊಮಿನಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್ ತನ್ನ ಸಂದೇಶದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಲ್ಫಿ ರೆಬಿಂಬಸ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು. ಮಹಿಳಾ ಆಯೋಗದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಚಿನ್ ಮೆನೇಜಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷ್ ವೇಗಸ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಸ್ಕೀಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವು ಆಟಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜ್ಯುವೆಲ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು

             ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಸಲ್ದಾನ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ, ದಿವಂಗತ ಅಗಸ್ಟಿನ್ ವೀಗಾಸ್ ಅವರ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಕ್ಯಾಟರರ್ಸ್ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿತ ರುಚಿಕರವಾದ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇಡೀ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶರೆಲ್ ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಅ.17: ಉಳ್ಳಾಲದ ನೇತ್ರಾವತಿ ಸೇತುವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನೆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಸರಣಿ ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾರಿ, ಕಾರು, ಆಟೊ ರಿಕ್ಷಾ ಸಹಿತ ಏಳು ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾನಿಯಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಸಣ್ಣಪುಟ್ಟ ಗಾಯಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಕುರಿತು ಸಂಚಾರ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ.

ನಗರದ ಪಂಪ್‌ವೆಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ತೊಕ್ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕಡೆಗೆ ತೆರಳುವ ಉಳ್ಳಾಲ ನೇತ್ರಾವತಿ ಸೇತುವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಖಾಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಲಾರಿಯೊಂದು ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು. ಸೋಮವಾರ ಸಂಜೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರೀ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಲಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸದ ಸ್ವಿಪ್ಟ್ ಕಾರು ಲಾರಿಗೆ ಢಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೇರಳ ನೋಂದಣಿಯ 3 ಕಾರು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಢಿಕ್ಕಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಪಿಕಪ್, ಬಸ್ ಕೂಡಾ ಢಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ ಒಂದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಂದರಂತೆ ವಾಹನಗಳು ಸಾಲಾಗಿ ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಹಾಗೇ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಢಿಕ್ಕಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, 7 ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾನಿಯಾಗಿವೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ 3 ಕಾರು, ಬಸ್‌ಗೆ ಭಾರೀ ಹಾನಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸಂಚಾರ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಅಪಘಾತವಾಗುವುದು ಗಲ್ಫ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಎಡೆಯುವುದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಆದರೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಯ ಮೊಬ್ಬಿನಿಂದ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದಾಜು.

ಉಡುಪಿ : ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದ ವೀರಭದ್ರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ   ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ವಾರಾಹಿ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪೈಪ್‌ ಶೇಖರಣಾ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರೀ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಅನಾಹುತ ಘಟನೆ ಇಂದು ಸಂಜೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಕೆನ್ನಾಲಿಗೆಗೆ ಶೇಖರಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಸ್ತಾನು ಇರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪೈಪ್‌ ರಾಶಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು, ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನಷ್ಟ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.

ಅಗ್ನಿ ಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬಂದಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ನಂದಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಜನರು ಮತ್ತು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗ್ನಿ ಶಾಮಕ ಸಿಬಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು.. ಪೈಪ್‌ಗಳು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ದಟ್ಟವಾದ ಹೊಗೆ ಆವರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಕಿ ಅಪಘಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಖಾಲಿ ಇರುವ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳ್ಳತನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮನೆಗಳ ವಿವರ ನೀಡಿ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿದ ಆರೋಪದಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಾನ್ಸ್ಟೇಬಲನ್ನು ಅಮಾನತುಗೊಳಿಸಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ  ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಇದು ಬೇಲಿಯೆ ಹೋಲ ಮೆಯ್ದಂತೆ ಆಗಿದೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಯಲ್ಲಪ್ಪ ಎಂಬ ಕಾನ್ಸ್ಟೇಬಲ್ ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗ್ಯಾಂಗ್ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕಳ್ಳತನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಥ್ ನೀಡುತಿದ್ದರು. ಕೆಲದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮನೆ ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕಳ್ಳರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದಾಗ. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಕಳ್ಳತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೇ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಕಾನ್ಸ್ಟೇಬಲ್ ಯಲ್ಲಪ್ಪನವರ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 

ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಖಾಲಿ ಇರುವ ಮನೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯಲ್ಲಪ್ಪ, ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಖಚಿತ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು. ಈ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಡಿಸಿಪಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಕಾಂತ್ ಅವರು ಯಲ್ಲಪ್ಪನವರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಅಮಾನತುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ

ನವದೆಹಲಿ: ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸದ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾರಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಇದ್ದು. ಈ ಕ್ಯಾಲೆಂಡರ್‌ ವರ್ಷದ ಎರಡನೇ ತ್ರೈಮಾಸಿದ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ನಿಂದ ಜೂನ್ ವರೆಗಿನ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಸತಿ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯ ಜಾಗತಿಕ (ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ) ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬೈ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ 19 ಮತ್ತು 22 ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನೆಗೆದಿವೆ

ನೈಟ್‌ ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್‌ ಎಂಬ ರಿಯಲ್‌ ಎಸ್ಟೇಟ್‌ ಕನ್ಸಲ್ಟೆನ್ಸಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವ ಗ್ಲೋಬಲ್‌ ರೆಸಿಡೆನ್ಷಿಯಲ್‌ ಸಿಟೀಸ್‌ ಇಂಡೆಕ್ಸ್‌ ನ ಕಳೆದ ಬಾರಿಯ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 77ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು ಇದೀಗ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು 22ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿದೆ. ಮುಂಬೈ 95ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ 19ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆಜಿಗಿತ ಕಂಡಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವೇ ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬಯ್ ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜಿಗಿತವಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳು ಕಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ಪರ್ಷದ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ನಿಂದ ಜೂನ್ ವರೆಗಿನ್ ಕ್ವಾರ್ಟರ್ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಈ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಸತಿ ಬೆಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ. 5.3ರಷ್ಟು ಏರಿಕೆ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ನವದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವೇಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಶೇ. 4.5 ರಷ್ಟು ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 25ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಚೆನ್ನೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ. 2.5ರಷ್ಟು ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 39ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕೋಲ್ಕತಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ. 2.5ರಷ್ಟು ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 40ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.


ಉಡುಪಿ : ಲಕ್ಷದ್ವೀಪ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಒತ್ತಡ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಉಂಟಾಗಿರುವ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದ್ದು ಕರಾವಳಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿವಿಧೆಡ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದ್ದು ಕರಾವಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಒಳನಾಡಿನ ಕೆಲವು ಕಡೆ ಮಿಂಚು,ಗುಡುಗು ಸಹಿತ ಮಳೆ ಆಗುವ ಸಂಭವವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹವಾಮಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಕೇರಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರೀ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುತಿದ್ದು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕರಾವಳಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಗುಡುಗು ಸಹಿತ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಚಂಡಮಾರುತ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನವ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬಂದರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಹಡಗುಗಳು, ಬಂದರು. ಬಳಕೆದಾರರು, ಸ್ಟೇಕ್ ಹೋಲ್ಡರ್‌ ಗಳು ಸುರಕ್ಷಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬಂದರಿನಿಂದ ತೆರಳುವ ಹಡಗುಗಳ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತ ಸಮೀಪಿಸುವ ಮುನ್ನವೇ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತೆರಳ ಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಬಂದರು ಆಡಳಿತ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಕರಾವಳಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನವ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬಂದರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಹಡಗುಗಳು, ಬಂದರು ಬಳಕೆದಾರರು ಸುರಕ್ಷಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನವಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬಂದರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಬಂದರಿನಿಂದ ತೆರಳುವ ಹಡಗುಗಳ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತ ಸಮೀಪಿಸುವ ಮುನ್ನವೇ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಬಂದರು ಆಡಳಿತ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ 16 ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 2023 ರಂದು ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಧ್ಯುಕ್ತ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಗಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾರಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿ 25 ವರ್ಷ ಕಳೆದಿರುವುದು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅಪರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ ಯುಜಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ದಿನ ಎಂಬಿಬಿಎಸ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಹಬ್ಬದ ಬ್ಯಾಚ್ ಮುಲೇರಿಯನ್ ಫೋಲ್ಡ್‌ಗೆ ದೀಕ್ಷೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೆ.ಫಾ. ರಿಚರ್ಡ್ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನವರು ದಿಟ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು MBBS ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಂಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹೋರಾಟಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಣೀಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹೂಡಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಡೀನ್ ಎಫ್‌ಎಂಎಂಸಿ ಡಾ ಆಂಟೋನಿ ಸಿಲ್ವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ಶತಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಐಕಾನ್ ಆಗಿರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ, ಜೆನ್ ಆಲ್ಫಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್‌ಗಾಗಿ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಉಪವಿಭಾಗದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಉಪಾಧೀಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಘನಾ ಪಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ವೈದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ನಿದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಿಸ್ಕ್ರಿಪ್ಷನ್‌ಗಳು ಸ್ಫುಟವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು ವೈದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಭಾವಿಕವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಔಷಧ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಅಪ್‌ಡೇಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪ್‌ಗ್ರೇಡ್ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ಅವರ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರು ರೋಗಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರ ಅವರು ನಾಗರಿಕ ಸೇವೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದರು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಸ ಯುಗ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕನಸು ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆತ್ತವರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಿರಿ, ಅವರ ಕನಸುಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಜವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.

ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ನಾಗೇಶ್ ಕೆಆರ್ (ಫೊರೆನ್ಸಿಕ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್) ಅವರು ವೈದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ವೈಟ್ ಕೋಟ್ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಔಷಧದ ಸ್ಟ್ರೀಮ್‌ಗೆ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಂಡವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದು ಶುದ್ಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಎಂಬಿಬಿಎಸ್ ಥೀಮ್ ಸಾಂಗ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಹ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಿಷಪ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಫ್‌ಎಂಸಿಐ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮೋಸ್ಟ್ ರೆ.ಡಾ.ಪೀಟರ್ ಪೌಲ್ ಸಲ್ಡಾನ್ಹಾ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಇಡೀ ಫಾದರ್ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್ ದೈವಿಕ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯತನ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸಿದರು, ಪ್ರವೇಶದ ಹಾದಿಯು ದೈವಿಕ ನೆಲೆಯಾದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೈವಿಕ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಗಿಗಳು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. 1880 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಈ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯು ಕಂಕನಾಡಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನಾರ್ಥಕವಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದು ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿತು. ಎಫ್‌ಎಂಸಿಐ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್‌ಗಳ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಲ್ಲ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ನೈತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ನೈತಿಕ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫಾದರ್ ಅಜಿತ್ ಬಿ ಮೆನೆಜಸ್ ಅವರು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಎಫ್‌ಎಂಎಂಸಿಯ ಯುಜಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ರಜತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಆಚರಣೆಯ 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಲೋಗೋವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.

Father Muller Medical College Silver Jubilee- Grand Opening and Ceremonial Ceremony

The Father Muller Medical College rang it’s silver Jubilee bells on 16 October 2023 in a grand inaugural and ceremonial event. This brings to light the 25 years of commencement of the under graduate programme of the medical College. Though in a rarity the UG programme commenced after the Post Graduate programme at Father Muller. The day marked the intiation of the silver Jubilee batch of MBBS students into the mullerian fold too.
A bold and inspiring welcome was voiced by the Director of the Father Muller Charitable Institutions Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius College. He briefed on highlights and struggles of the MBBS programme coming to light, making it a desirable educational investment by students wanting toake a mark in the society.

Dean FMMC Dr Antony Sylvan D’Souza brought about the future endeavours of the medical College and the aspirations of the management, faculty and students for a bigger, gen alpha education cum administrative block that will be an icon for the next century to come.

The chief guest Ms Ghana P Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Puttur Sub division related her instances with the importance of documentation both for a doctor and same for a police. Prescriptions should be legible not decipherable and making a comman man a human should natural to a doctor. Medicine and it’s advances needs constant updating and upgrading. As a alumni from Father Muller she pursued post graduation in Pathology and thereafter she joined the Civil Services . She thus encouraged the new ug students to dream big. Dream big with the help of your parents whose dreams come to reality in you.

The honours and respect to the Doctors Apron was instituted by Dr Nagesh KR (forensic medicine) upon the students. The White Coat ceremony is a part where the new joinees into the medicine stream respects the drape around them which symbolises purity and clarity.

To mark the 25 years of the MBBS programme a tree was lite by the alumni batch representatives with 25 candles marking yet another fete where all 25 batch representatives came in on call from their Alma Mater.
The 25 years of MBBS theme song was also released which brings in the unity and diversity of the college.

Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore and President of FMCI in his address said that the whole Father Muller echoed the goodness and humility of the divine, the path of entrance leads to the chapel, the home of the Divine.
The presence of the Divine Light shines on all the people who work here. A lasting impression will surely be created by the faculty, staff and patients but its your responsibility to leave a lasting impression here. This hospital which began in 1880 is synonymous with Kankanady which got elevated because of this instutions. 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿಟಿ ವಲಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು,ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ ಗೌರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವೇದಿಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಘಟಕಗಳ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯಿತು.  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಊಟದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು.

Catholic Sabha, Mangalore Pradesh(R)- City Deanery, celebrated their Silver Jubilee on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at St. Joseph The Worker Church, Vamanjoor, Mangalore. Thanksgiving mass was celebrated at 4:30 pm with the main celebrant Bishop Emeritus of Mangalore Diocese, Aloysius Paul D’Souza, accompanied by Rev. Fr. James D’Souza, Rev. Fr. William Menezes ,Rev. Fr. Clifford Fernandes, Rev. Fr. Dominic Vas, Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Melwyn Pinto, Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza Rev. Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas and Rev. Fr. Ivan D’Souza. Stage and cultural programme was held at 6:00 p.m. in Vamanjoor Church Sabha Bhavan.

Mr. Wilfred Alvares, Bondel, the President of Catholic Sabha, City Deanery, presided over the celebration with the Chief Guests Rev. Fr. James D’Souza, the Vicar Forane and Parish Priest of Vamanjoor Church, Mr. Alwyn D’Souza, Panir, President, Central Catholic Sabha, Mangalore, Rev. Fr. William Menezes, Parish Priest of Angelore Church and Spiritual Director of the City Deanery and Mrs. Vilma Monteiro, General Secretary, Central Catholic Sabha, Mangalore. They were accompanied by the Guests of Honor, including the Founder President, Mr. Martin R. D’Souza, Mr. Charles Pais, Vice President of the Parish Council, Vamanjoor Church, Mr Patrick Lobo, President of the local body and Mr. Prashanth Saldanha, convener of the programme.

All the presidents and secretaries and spiritual director who served Catholic Sabha, Mangalore – City Deanery, over the past 25 years were honored during the stage President Mr Wilfred Alvares welcomed the guest, Secretary Mrs Wilma Monteiro presented the 25 year report and convener Mr Prashanth Saldanha thanked the gathering.

Stage programme was followed by cultural programme performed by all the 10 units under the city deanery. The programme was concluded by a fellowship meal. Mr Victor Correa and Mr Sunil Pinto compèred the stage and cultural program. City varado catholic Sabha unit spiritual directors guest priest central council president, office bearers and large number of people were gathered and witnessed the celebration.

ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಅಬುದಾಬಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕಲ್ ಡಿಸೊಜಾ, ವಿಶ್ವ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಬಸ್ತಿ ವಾಮನ ಶೆಣೈ ಇವರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಕಟವರ್ತಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದವರು. ದೇಶ – ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಪೋಶಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೈಕಲ್ ಡಿಸೊಜಾ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಲೇಖಕರಿಗೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲು 40 ಲಕ್ಷ ರುಪಾಯಿ ಅನುದಾನ, ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಗೀತ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಸಂಗೀತ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸುಮಾರು 10 ಲಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಸಿನೆಮಾಕ್ಕಾಗಿ 25 ಲಕ್ಷ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ’ವಿಶನ್ ಕೊಂಕಣಿ’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿಟ್ಟಿದಾರೆ. ಕೊಂಕಣಿ ಭಾಷಿಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ 25 ಕೋಟಿ ರುಪಾಯಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ’ಎಡುಕೇರ್’ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದು ಸಿ.ಒ.ಡಿ.ಪಿ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ವರೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 3,500 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಈ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಪಡೆದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Michael D Souza of VISION KONKANI to lead Reception Committee All India Konkani Sammelan

Staunch Konkani Supporter and Promoter of ‘Vision Konkani’ Programme for the all-round development of Konkani language, literature and culture Sri Michael D Souza will be leading the Reception committee of 25th All India Konkani Sahitya Sammelan as the President. CA Nandagopal Shenoy , President of World Konkani Centre and Sahitya Akademi awardee Gokuldas Prabhu will be the Vice presidents. Konkani poet and thinker Titus Noronha will be the general secretary and journalist H. M. Pernal will be the working president of the reception committee.

25th All India Konkani Sahitya Sammelan will be held at Basti Vaman Shenoy Stage in the premises of World Konkani Centre on Nov 4 & 5. About 650 delegates from various parts of India expected to attend the Sammelan, which Mangalore is hosting for the first time in the 84 years history of All India Konkani Parishad, founded in 1939 by Late Madhav Manjunath Shanbaug of Kumta.

Abu Dhabi based NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael D’Souza originally hails from Puttur and is a constant supporter for Konkani activities and programmes in India and abroad. With his signature programme ‘Vision Konkani’ he has empowered Konkani writers and Artists with Konkani Book Publication Grant to the tune of Rs.40 Lakhs, Konkani Music Grant to the tune of Rs.10 Lakh and Konkani Feature Film Grant to the tune of Rs. 25 Lakh. Publication of Konkani books, Production of Music Singles, and Feature film are under process under his visionary programme VISION KONKANI. He has established EDU CARE scholarship programme for konkani speaking students for higher education under the supervision of CODP, Dioceses of Mangalore. So far 3,500 students benefited from this scholarship programme.

Various sub Committees were formed in the recently held preliminary meeting under the guidance of Sahitya Akademi Executive Council Member and convenor of Konkani Advisory Board at Sahitya Akademi, Poet Melvyn Rodrigues, Chetan Acharya, Executive President of All India Konkani Parishad and Konkani educationist Dr Kasturi Mohan Pai at Nalanda English Medium School, V T Road. Mangalore.

Stephen Pinto, Bendur and Oswald Rodrigues, Bejai will be heading the Finance Committee, World Konkani Centre will be looking after Food and Venue, Smt Suchitra S Shenoy and Smt Felcy Lobo will be leading the Front Office and Volunteer Committee, Accommodation and transport will he managed by Vincent Pinto Anjelore, Floyd Kiran Moras, Nirkan and Gerald Concesso. Dr Hanumanth Chopdekar and Dr Jayanti Naik are in charge of the Programme Committee and Smt Anwesha Singbhal will be heading the stage committee. The Media promotion Committee will be handled by Stany Bela and Praveen Tauro. Titus Noronha will be in charge of the Printing and Souvenir committee.
