ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸ್ ದೇಶದ ಲೂರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಬೆರ್ನದೆತ್ತ್ ಎಂಬ ಯುವತಿಗೆ, 1858 ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 11 ರಿಂದ, ಜುಲೈ ತಿಂಗಳ ತನಕ, 18 ಬಾರಿ ಮಾತೆ ಮರಿಯಮ್ಮನವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದರ್ಶನವಿತ್ತರು. ಅದರ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥಕವಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರತಿ ವರುಷ, ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 11 ರಂದು, ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಲೂರ್ದು ಮಾತೆಯ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ಸಡಗರದಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಲೂರ್ಡ್ಸ್ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ದರ್ಶನವಿತ್ತ ಮಾತೆ ಮರಿಯಮ್ಮನವರನ್ನು, ಲೂರ್ದು ಮಾತೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಫೆ. 11 ರಂದು ಜೆಪ್ಪು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಸಂತ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ನಗರದ ಮಾತೆ ಮರಿಯಮ್ಮನವರ ಗ್ರೊಟ್ಟೊವಿನ ಬಳಿ ಲೂರ್ದು
ಮಾತೆಯ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ತೇರು, ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಭ್ರಮಿಕ ದಿವ್ಯ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು
ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಜ್ರಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಜೆಪ್ಪು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಡಿಸೋಜರವರು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ವಿಧಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿಧಾನ ಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆ.ಆರ್. ಲೋಬೊ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಮಾಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಐವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಈ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾದರು.

ಪುಟಾಣಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಯುವಜನರು, ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ವಾದ್ಯ ಬಳಗವು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಮೆರುಗನ್ನು ಇಮ್ಮಡಿಗೊಳಿಸಿತು. ಸಂಜೆ ಸುಮಾರು 6 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಲೂನಿನಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ಜಪಮಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದತ್ತ ಹಾರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಎಲ್. ನೊರೊನ್ಹಾರವರು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಗುರುಗಳಾಗಿ, ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂತ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಗುರುಮಠದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ರೊನಾಲ್ಡ್ ಸೆರಾವೊ, ಹಾಗೂ ಹಲವಾರು ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮಭಗಿನಿಯರು ಈ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ಲೂರ್ದು ಮಾತೆಯ ಪವಾಡಗಳನ್ನು, ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಸ್ಥರ ಅಭ್ಯಂಗವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ, ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರರ್ಥಾನಾ ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬಲಿಪೂಜೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾದ ಸುಮಾರು 4 ಕ್ವಿಂಟಲ್ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ಚರ್ಚುಗಳ 50 ಬಡ ಕುಟಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಂಭ್ರಮದ ಪೂಜೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನದಾಸೋಹವನ್ನು (ಊಟದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು) ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. 1500 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಊಟವನ್ನು, ಜೆಪ್ಪು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ, ಜೋ ಜೋ ಕೇಟರರ್ಸ್, ಇದರ ಮಾಲಕರಾದ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತರವರು ದಾನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಈ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿನ ವೈಟ್ ಫ್ಲವರ್ ಅಸೋಸಿ ಯೇಷನ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಮ್ಯಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಡಿಸೋಜರವರು ಈ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ದಾನಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಸೊಶಿಯಲ್ ಮೂವ್‍ಮೆಂಟಿನ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಜಯ್ ಆಲ್ಫ್ರೇಡ್, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ, ಮಾಜಿ ಮೇಯರ್ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜಸಿಂತಾ ಆಲ್ಫ್ರೇಡ್, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸತೀಶ್ ಫೊನ್ಸೆಕಾ, ಸಂಘದ ಸದಸ್ಯರ, ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಪಾಲಾನಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳ ಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಂದನೀಯ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಮ್ ಡಿಸೋಜರವರು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ
ಮನದಾಳದ ವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

The time That our students spend in PU College represents years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice.
Our farewell today does not represent the end of your college days but you begin your education in the school of life. An inspirational speech was given by Miss Melisha, Lecturer in commerce. She called on the students not to look back have a positive attitude and move ahead in life.
Rosa Mystica PU college celebrated with great fervour the farewell of Second PU students. The program was organized by the juniors and the college staff members. The function began invoking the Blessings of the Almighty with a Prayer dance.
First year student, Sahil Hussain welcomed the gathering.
The students of grade 11th gave a spectacular program to their seniors making them feel their presence would be deeply missed. The lesson for life was depicted in their meaningful skit and dance performance. The lovely songs sung related to student life brought back some memories to recollect.
The students of grade 11th Thapaswini and Alfah Sheikh expressed a few words of gratitude to their seniors and assured them that the benchmark which they have set would be followed and take their guidance as motivation towards the future.
Riya and Ronald of second PUC shared their memories in the College from teaching to sports, from studies to recreation. All the days were put forth in a nutshell by the students.
The Principal of the College Sr. Sadhana BS, in her advice motivated and encouraged the students to move forward in life confidently.
She congratulated the students who are the pride of the college for bringing laurels be it academic, sports, or extracurricular activities. Two years activities were high lighted through video.
The Farewell program was organized meticulously with entertainment, games, and delicious food. Programme was Compered by Nafeesathul Misriya and vote of thanks was proposed the second PU students.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಸಂತ ಆಂತೊನಿಯವರ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನದ  ನೊವೆನಾ    ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯು ಮಿಲ್ಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಚರ್ಚಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಧರ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತದ ಐ.ಸಿ.ವೈ .ಎಂ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ  ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ಕಾರ್ಡೋಜ   ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಗುರುಗಳಾಗಿ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ದಿನದ  ವಿಷಯವಾದ  ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ  ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ  ಪ್ರವಚನ ವಿತ್ತರು. ಸಂತ ಆಂತೊನಿ ಅಶ್ರಮದ ನಿರ್ದೆಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಜೆ.ಬಿ. ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೆಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಲ್ಯಾರಿ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಹಾಗೂ ನೂರಾರು ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನದ ನೊವೆನಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ , ಯುವಕ ಯುವತಿಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

6th day     – Novena preceding the Feast of Relic St. Anthony was held at Milagres Church – Jeppu

Theme for the Day  “Do not gossip speak good about others” The Novena Mass for the relic feast of St Anthony was held at Milagres Church at 6:00 p.m. Rev Fr Rovel Dsouza O. C. D was the main celebrant for mass. In his homily he spoke on the theme by highlighting different examples.  Rev Fr. J B Crasta, and  Rev Fr Rupesh tauro con-celebrated the mass. At the end of the mass Fr Rupesh   Conducted the Novena in honour of St Anthony during which special prayers were offered for all Children. Angelore Church Choir Group sang and Joined in Thanksgiving

ಕುಂದಾಪುರ, ಫೆ.12: ಲೂರ್ದ್ ಮಾತೆಯ ಹಬ್ಬದಂದು ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 11 ರಂದು ಸಂಜೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ದೇವಾಲಯವಾದ ಹೋಲಿ ರೋಜರಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ವಠಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಲೂರ್ದ್ ಮಾತೆಯ ಗ್ರೊಟ್ಟೊದ ಎದುರುಗಡೆ ಲೂರ್ದ್ ಮಾತೆಯ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಭಕ್ತಿಭಾವದ ಜಪಮಾಲ ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
“ರೋಜರಿ ಮಾತೆಯು ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸ್ ದೇಶದ ಲೌರ್ಡೆಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಬರ್ನಾಡೇಟ್ ಸೌಬಿರಸ್ ಎಂಬ 14 ವರ್ಷದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗಳಿಗೆ 1858 ರಲ್ಲಿ, 18 ಭಾರಿ ದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದಳು, ಲೌರ್ಡೆಸ್ ಉರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದಕ್ಕೆ ರೋಜರಿ ಮಾತೆಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಲೂರ್ದ ಮಾತೆಯೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಮುಂದೆ ಅದು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ಪವಾಡ ನಗರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ್ತು. ಇಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಲಿಯಾಕಟ್ಟಲೆ ಜನರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೋರಿಕೆ, ರೋಗ ಋಜಿನಾಗಳಗಳನ್ನು ಗುಣ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ರೋಜರಿ ಮಾತಾ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ವಠಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಲೂರ್ದ ಮಾತೆಯ ಗ್ರೊಟ್ಟೊವಿದೆ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯು ಕೂಡ ಜಾತಿ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಜನರು ಬಂದು ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಇತರ ಧರ್ಮಿಯರಿಗೆ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾದದ್ದು, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಪ್ಪಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದಿಟ್ಟು ಭಕ್ತಿಭಾವದ, ಶ್ರದ್ದೆಯ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯೆನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವರ ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ರೋಜರಿ ಮಾತೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರ ಕೋರಿಕೆ ಇಡೇರಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಅವರ ಭಕ್ತಿ ನಮಗೆ ಆದರ್ಶವಾಗಲಿ. ದುಖ ಕಶ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸದೆ ನಮಗೆ ಆನಂದ ಸಿಗಲಾರದು. ನಮ್ಮ ಕಶ್ಟ ದುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ದೇವರ ಮಾತೆ ಮೇರಿ ಮಾತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಣ’ ಎಂದು ಇಗರ್ಜಿಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ಅ|ವಂ|ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ತಾವ್ರೊ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರವಚನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ರೋಜರಿ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಭಕ್ತರು ಜಪಮಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನ ವಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು ಜಪಮಾಲ ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ನಂತರ ಲೂರ್ದ್ ಮಾತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಮೇಣದ ಬತ್ತಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಭಕ್ತಾಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ರೋಗ ಋಜಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಗುಣ ಆಗುವಂತೆ ಅ|ವಂ|ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ತಾವ್ರೊ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು ವಂ| ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ಆರಾನ್ಹಾ ಶಿರದ ಮೆಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು ಆಶಿರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು.
ಜಪಮಾಲ ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಲೂರ್ದ್ ವಾಳೆಯವರು ನೇರವೆರಿಸಿದರು. ಪಾಲನ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶಾಲೆಟ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಆಶಾ ಕರ್ವಾಲ್ಲೊ, ಆಯೋಗಗಳ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ ಪ್ರೇಮಾ ಡಿಕುನ್ಹಾ, ಕಾನ್ವೆಂಟಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ ಸಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಸಂಗೀತ, ಲೂರ್ದ್ ವಾಳೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಫಾತಿಮಾ ವಾಜ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದು. ಲೂರ್ದ್ ವಾಳೆಯ ಗುರಿಕಾರ ವಾಲ್ಟರ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು.

When someone does wrong correct them.  Through our good words we develop we develop talents.  Rev Fr. J B Crasta,  Rev Fr Rupesh tauro, & Fr Larry Pinto con-celebrated the mass. At the end of the mass Fr Larry Pinto   Conducted the Novena in honour of St Anthony during which special prayers were offered for all concreted Religious Men and women.  St Agnes Choir Group  sang and Joined in Thanksgiving

“ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡಿ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ” ಎಂಬ ದಿನದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಜೆ 6:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಅಂತೋನಿಯವರ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಹಬ್ಬದ ನೊವೆನಾ ಮಾಸ್ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ದೇರೆಬೈಲ್‌ನ ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಮಾರ್ಟಿಸ್ ಪ್ಯಾರಿಷ್ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಧರ್ಮಗುರುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರವಚನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಇತರರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಬೇಕು, ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನಾವು ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ. ರೆವ್ ಫಾ. ಜೆ ಬಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ರೆವ್ ಫಾದರ್ ರೂಪೇಶ್ ತಾವ್ರೊ ಮತ್ತು ರೆವ್. ಫಾದರ್ ಲ್ಯಾರಿ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನ ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಫಾದರ್ ಲ್ಯಾರಿ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಅವರು ಸಂತ ಅಂತೋನಿಯವರ ಗೌರವಾರ್ಥ ನೊವೆನಾವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು, ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಪುರುಷ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸೇಂಟ್ ಆಗ್ನೆಸ್ ಗಾಯನ ಪಂಗಡ ಗಾಯನ ಮಾಡಿತು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು:ಬೊಂದೆಲಿನ ಸಂತಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್ ಅನುದಾನ ರಹಿತ ಶಾಲೆಯ 7ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಮಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಶಾಮಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಿಂದ 100 ಮೀಟರ್ ಓಟಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 20 ರಿಂದ 23ರವರೆಗೆ ಚಾಮುಂಡಿ ವಿಹಾರ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಥೆಟಿಕ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಶಾಮಿ ಇವನು ಕಮರುದ್ದೀನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಜಿಯಾ ರವರ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದು ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಯೋಗೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. 

Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education in cooperation with Signis Karnataka and Spearhead Academy held a state level seminar on ‘Towards and Ethical Media’ for students, staff and delegates from all over Karnataka on February 8, 2023 to foster greater interest in media ethics, familiarize the participants with the different issues and provide a forum to exchange views on specific ethical issues in Media. The seminar had in total six sessions including the inaugural session, valedictory session and the four technical sessions. The one-day seminar was attended by 88 participants from different districts of Karnataka and students from the city colleges.

The seminar included a mix of lectures, technical sessions, and case studies through interaction with the participants. Bishop Henry D’souza, Chairman of Sandesha Foundation, Bishop of Bellary, the keynote speaker of the day called for accountability in media by being accurate and giving factual information. He also made aware of the twisting of facts using examples. Journalists should not tell what they want to but they to communicate what they ought to, he added. Discussions in the technical sessions revolved around Ethics of Indian Media: Aberrations and future challenges, Deconstructing Ethics in Journalism: How Indian Media is neglecting its social responsibility.

The seminar focused on specific ethical issues in media  such as accuracy, verification, independence, allegiances, deception, fabrication, graphic images, image manipulation, sources and confidentiality, ethics  and citizen Journalist. Participants welcomed the opportunity to exchange views on all the papers discussed.

The session were moderated by Dr. Cyril Victor, Director, Archdiocesan Communication Centre, Mr. Varghese, Editor, Indian Catholic Matters, Mr. Benedict, Editor, City Highlights, Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes, Director, Canara Communications.

The speakers touched upon the present context of media where is growing disenchantment towards media, lack of trust, world press freedom Index, cross ownership patterns, pro-investor driven media, condition of journalists etc. The ethical  issues were highlighted such as changing patterns of reporting, paid news, twisting facts, non issues as real issues, dwindling number of grass-root level reports, tendency to brand, fake news, mistaken news values of balance and accuracy. Gatekeeping methodology to tackle problems accuracy and verification. An enumeration of latest digital gatekeeping methods were discussed. The important to be reported are missing and non important issues are highlighted because of commercial interests etc.

Fr. Sudeep Paul, welcomed and gave seminar orientations, Fr. Richard Dsouza proposed vote of thanks. Fr. Victor Vijay Lobo, President, Signis India Mr. Canute Jeevan Pinto, Managing Trustee, Village TV Trust, Dr. John D’silva, Administrator, Spearhead Academy were present on the occasion.

ಬಜಾಲ್ ಚರ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ  ಆಂಡ್ರ್ಯೂ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಗುರುಗಳಾಗಿ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ದಿನದ ವಿಷಯವಾದ  , ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತಹ ಉಪಕಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾವು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ  ಪ್ರವಚನ ವಿತ್ತರು. ಸಂತ ಆಂತೊನಿ ಅಶ್ರಮದ ನಿರ್ದೆಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಜೆ.ಬಿ. ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೆಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ರೂಪೇಶ್ ತಾವ್ರೊ, ವಂದನೀಯ ಲ್ಯಾರಿ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಹಾಗೂ ನೂರಾರು ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ದಿನದ ನೊವೆನಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖಂಡರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Theme for the Day  “Thank God  before all for all the goodness he has done” The Novena Mass for the relic feast of St Anthony was held at Milagres Church at 6:00 p.m. Rev Fr Andrew D’souza Parish Priest of  Bajal. was the main celebrant for mass. In his homily he spoke on the theme by highlighting different examples. Of how we should speak about the goodness which we have received in our life   Rev Fr. J B Crasta,  Rev Fr Rupesh tauro, & Fr Larry Pinto con-celebrated the mass. At the end of the mass Fr Rupesh  Tauro  Conducted the Novena in honour of St Anthony during which special prayers were offered for all the Lay FaithFull Leaders.  Valencia Church Choir Group  sang and Joined in Thanksgiving.
